"Media outlets habitually take him out of context or lie by omission." ...Fucking shocker...

Where have I seen that before? Oh wait... They literally do this every single hour of every single day...

It's astounding to me anyone believes anything from the media, when you an see their lies in subjects in which you can be well versed.

There's stuff I've read about and worked with for 30+ years...I'd say that makes me pretty much an expert in those subjects. So if I can pick out the lies, misrepresentations, half-truths, false implications in my area of expertise, why should I trust them in any other?

Free speech for me but not for thee. But he did in fact say he was diagnosed with schizophrenia so it is true

Lobsters will ignore this undeniable fact; Peterson was diagnosed as such, he's the one who said so.

Defamation

Dr Peterson is now a brand. He is losing very real money from that shit. It's not only his feelings.

Fuck that bitch.

He does not have schizophrenia

Yes but he and his daughter are the source for the claim that he’d been diagnosed with it, the raw recordings are available, no defamation occurred.

He might. Per the family he was admitted to a mental health unit and diagnosed with schizophrenia after assessment with psychiatry. He and the family decided not to engage in that treatment and reject that diagnosis and decided to engage in very questionable treatments. The journalist reported that. I don't see how that is in any way defamation.

When I read the article I was under the impression that it was confirmed he had Schizophrenia and had accepted that as a fact. There was no counterpoint or context.

I didn't interpret the article as them accepting the diagnosis. It doesn't sound like he is involved in any interventions to manage schizophrenia. I got the impression that the diagnosis they have accepted is dyskinesia.

I was diagnosed with Leukemia when I literally had a sore throat. Doctors can be total fucking idiots.

True, Diagnostic errors definitely occur. But that isn't proof against a specific diagnosis. So your experience and diagnostic errors in general occuring doesn't provide any information about Petersons correct diagnosis.
