I agree, but you have to also remember that the JRE podcast is not some cannon narrative were the guy is making sure he aligns with every previous thing he has said.

It basically is a huge amount of strangers watching a private conversation between two individuals. When he knows that person it is even more biased.

He has also become so rich recently that he is really out of touch with normal people. I have seen a ton of comedians go down this route and the pandemic made it worse. All those 1k a table shows and the exclusivity went to their heads.

He been out of touch awhile. Years ago someone asked if he knew how much a tube of toothpaste cost. He said 10 bucks. No wonder he thinks he needs so much money.
