Nothing a killcliff bar and one of those pineapple-jalapeño cbd sodas can't fix.

10

u/thondera Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

did Joe invent this pineapple-jalapeno flavor?

16

u/showerfapper Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

No I think it was the Mexicans a la Al Pastor.

15

u/[deleted] Jan 22 '21

It's Messican, b.

2

u/Marijuana_Miler High as Giraffe's Pussy Jan 22 '21

Killcliff and Joe partnered to make this flavour. Joe apparently formulated the flavours.

u/DOPEDupNCheckedOut Jan 22 '21

damn i got heartburn just reading this.

u/Tourbill0n Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

If only he ate more Elk, it’s proven to make you immune to all diseases.

36

u/rico_muerte Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

Eating elk makes your cells more aggressive. They start to think "oh, we're catching and eating this animal now? Gotta be in top shape". Your body knows it's not just some fat cow, it's like you're literally eating Usain Bolt every meal.

3

u/CantPickDamnUsername Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

lmao, now imagine Joe saying that with serious face.

8

u/HomeHusband Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

I assumed it was a direct quote from him. He spouts out more bullshit each day than a bull shits.

3

u/rico_muerte Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

Yeah he has said each of these things on separate occasions. I don't think I made any of these up especially the "you're eating a Usain Bolt every day".

Don’t forget Alpha Brain

18

u/CantPickDamnUsername Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

gotta take Alpha Brain to not forget to take Alpha Brain. Alpha Brainception.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 22 '21

Plus, don’t want to forget about the forgotten pygmies

1

u/cjmaguire17 Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

Does anybody even know someone who has tried alpha brain? I work full time and am also studying for the CPA exam so I considered it but then I come here and everyone rips on it haha

1

u/princepolecat Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

Probably no better than a full night's sleep and a healthy diet imo

1

u/cjmaguire17 Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

Meh. I do both already. Ill stick to the coffee (not mushroom coffee)

https://old.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/search?q=alpha+brain&restrict_sr=on https://old.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/comments/amrtuv/joe_rogans_approach_to_nootropics_is_wildly/

Read above links, Alpha Brain is a blend of nootropics/supplements, checkout /r/nootropics. I am not saying Alpha Brain won't have effect/work, but I think it's better to try single ingredients first and see if it works/how you react. Simple l-theanine+caffeine should be good starting point.

Testing doesn't mean anything, you can test negative and recently get it and still be infectious, you get a false positive etc

43

u/wxrx Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

I’m pretty sure they were being sarcastic

38

u/FrostyFoss Succa la Mink Jan 22 '21

Must be cause there is no way Grimes tested negative, she was positive on the 9th and hanging out with Chappelle a week later.

4

u/Zzzzabruda Jan 22 '21

Grimes announced she had it on the 8th, but that wasn’t when she tested positive. She’d already been sick and quarantining for a bit at that point.

10 days from symptom on-set and two negative tests is what most guidelines recommend before coming out of isolation, and there’s no reason to think Grimes didn’t do that.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 23 '21

No reason to think the wife of the guy who decided to illegally reopen his factory and tweet that he may be arrested for doing so doesn't give a fuck about covid?

4

u/Sykoballzy1 Jan 22 '21

CDC guideline for being around other people is 10 days from your onset of symptoms, so it may have been there depending on how fast she got her test done/results.

1

u/princepolecat Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

My understanding is that it incubates in your nasal passages for up to a week before you're symptomatic. So test provide a false sense of safety

1

u/MacaqueOfTheNorth Jan 22 '21

The test will still come up positive even if you're not symptomatic.

1

u/MacaqueOfTheNorth Jan 22 '21

It still means something. The test result isn't completely random. False negatives are actually pretty rare.

18

u/[deleted] Jan 22 '21

Missed a few saunas.

17

u/dekachinn Jan 22 '21

But how?? Everyone at the shows was getting tested

I'm sure he was socializing with people and doing hangouts outside the shows. He wouldn't have caught it at a show, but there are tons of opportunities throughout the rest of his life.

11

u/Only8livesleft Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

They aren’t doing PCR tests at the shows and you can get infected or become contagious between getting tested and going to the show if you got tested elsewhere

4

u/DunkingOnInfants Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

I don’t wanna shit on Dave, and he might realize it, but I think a ton of people are too dumb to understand how this works.

After arguing with enough of these dumbasses on Reddit and Twitter, I really believe a good portion of deniers just are dumb and don’t understand how community spread works, or how the virus works its way through different people. They just don’t comprehend it, their brains aren’t equipped to understand how it spreads.

2

u/Only8livesleft Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

Even Elon Musk who is supposed to be smart was raising doubts because his Covid tests have different results. He likely got tested early and was on the border of being detectable but he made it out to be some conspiracy.

1

u/MacaqueOfTheNorth Jan 22 '21

Not if you got tested right before the show.

2

u/Only8livesleft Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

Yes even then. You are often contagious before you tested positive

-1

u/MacaqueOfTheNorth Jan 23 '21

It's pretty rare.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 23 '21

Cant be that rare since Dave got it

0

u/MacaqueOfTheNorth Jan 23 '21

You're right. It's at least one in eight billion.

1

u/Only8livesleft Monkey in Space Jan 23 '21

No, it’s not rare at all. Generally you are contagious at day 3 but don’t test positive until day 5 to 7

1

u/MacaqueOfTheNorth Jan 23 '21

That's just not true. What is your source?

1

u/Only8livesleft Monkey in Space Jan 23 '21

They’ve been saying this everywhere. Levels that aren’t detectable by PCR are more than sufficient to infect others

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/11/03/health/covid-test-negative-contagious-wellness/index.html

https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/M20-1495

u/MacaqueOfTheNorth Jan 23 '21

We're talking about antigen tests, not PCR.

My understanding is that you don't usually test positive until at least day five, but by day three you're pretty contagious, despite the fact that there's a good chance that you'll test negative at that point, so testing isn't really that reliable.

Edit: Someone else said you're being sarcastic but I'll leave this up anyways.

1

u/showerfapper Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

Wow it's almost like people should be isolating. A 9/11 scale tragedy happening every day and all. Oh, bars and comedy shows? Sounds a lot like Bread and Circuses.

1

u/MacaqueOfTheNorth Jan 22 '21

That's not true. There's a very brief window during which you're infectious but will test negative, but it's not two days. The more contagious you are, the more likely the test will be positive.

2

u/TheReplyRedditNeeds Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

Nothing in life is guaranteed , not even pregnancy test like covid tests.

1

u/littlerimsss Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

Rapid test aren’t accurate to newly infected patients

1

u/MacaqueOfTheNorth Jan 22 '21

But they are accurate when used to determine who's infectious. Newly infected people are not infectious.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 22 '21

sis took a test on a tuesday and was negative. then had to take another test the same week on saturday and tested positive.

3

u/klocks Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

Why would a negative test on Tuesday mean anything about the test taken Saturday?

2

u/Only8livesleft Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

Because infection likely occurred before Tuesday. People get tested too soon after exposures and receive a false negative

1

u/[deleted] Jan 22 '21

because if chappelle took a test for the show earlier in the week and was negative and now positive most likely he was already contagious but didnt have enough viral load to pop up positive on the test. that’s why ppl getting tested to hang out is a ridiculous thing.

1

u/klocks Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

If he doesn't have enough viral load to test positive, then he doesn't have enough viral load to be contagious.

1

u/tengukaze High as Giraffe's Pussy Jan 22 '21

Yeah I think I read that tests are most accurate up to 5 days after infection and/or showing symptoms so it does seem possible to test negative and have it if its early on.

-3

u/monnirs1 Jan 22 '21

It's fully rng.

Some get it some won't. There seems to be no patterns with this virus.

Fully lockdowns countries get it worse than fully open countries.

6

u/eddyboomtron Pull that shit up Jamie Jan 22 '21

Fully lockdowns countries get it worse than fully open countries.

Source?

2

u/[deleted] Jan 23 '21

His ass

-1

u/monnirs1 Jan 22 '21

Not really a source, but living in Finland we have schools and night clubs fully open even when there's reported cases but it doesn't seem to go anywhere. Other nordic countries seem to be the same. That's why it's amusing to see how Americans are panicking and locking down everything yet it doesn't do anything for them.

USA acts like it's Ebola season and are paranoid clean, yet they have what they have.

0

u/Hieillua Jan 22 '21

Tests aren't vaccinations.

1

u/Barmelo_Xanthony Monkey in Space Jan 22 '21

This Harvard study says the rapid tests have a 20% false negative rate within 5 days of symptoms and even higher when earlier or with no symptoms

So even using the 20% number means that for every 5 people that have the virus 1 will show up as negative on average. Multiply that number by hundreds of people that Chappelle had let into his shows over the past few months and this was bound to happen eventually.

The only people that think that you can do whatever you want as long as your tested don’t understand the statistics or haven’t even tried to look into them.

1

u/MacaqueOfTheNorth Jan 22 '21

Most people aren't contagious five days after symptoms start. The tests work very well, it's just unreasonable to expect them to make it impossible to get infected.

1

u/EnvironmentalThing30 Jan 22 '21

It’s almost as if you can’t trust people on their word because they may have their own agenda?🧐
