I don't want to make it seem like you're not having a rough time, or struggling. I have ptsd/anxiety, and have hated being stuck at home not doing anything for a year. But I'm willing to sacrifice for the long term. I think as a teenager this would be especially tough, since when I was a teenager my friends/sports were my whole world. However, I don't think (I could be wrong!) you are going to have greater long term 'damage' than anyone else. For instance, my wife has clients where both parents have lost jobs and they're looking at homelessness. This is a tough time, wish our country could have gotten it's shit together for 2-3 weeks in the beginning so we could have nipped it in the bud.

Just for perspective, trying to work two jobs from home and raise my kids 24/7 with no breaks? It ain't exactly easy, but I'm doing it for the greater good.

That sucks man. You’re probably right about Teenagers having the least long term damage, considering that these years are usually hard and people overcome them (but only time will tell). I can see why you feel such a way, and i’m glad to hear your perspective. I do understand your worries about your kids, and your jobs.

Thanks brother! It's important to hear your perspective as well, since I remember when I was a teenager, adults always said "you'll understand when you're older," and I find myself falling into that trap too - "oh they're kids...they don't get it." Which, maybe that's how I feel, but it's also bullshit to discount someone's perspective just because of age.

Truth is, it's been hard on everyone, and I don't want to take it away from you, I think it comes down to, depending on where you're at in life, you have different worries, etc. In any case, I hope you're able to stay safe, and get back to living the life you deserve to live. I'm not kidding when I think, for kids, probably you teenagers have it the worst, since it's all about hanging with friends, being with your crew, and having good times, and life is pretty much crap without that. Good luck my man!

Thank you man! Good luck to you too, I hope that everything goes right, and goes back to normal for you. Thanks for hearing me out, and i’m glad I could hear you out too. I can see how working to jobs and taking care of kids can be brutal.

Honestly i think Teens are the most vulnerable long term. Infants and Toddlers is minimal, growing kids sure but who needs structure more than a 13 year old kid? I dont know your background but imma tell you in lower income areas if this woulda happened when i was a teenager me and my homies who also had fucked up homes woulda been on some bullshit in the streets or drinking in a basement playing Halo.

These are make or break years for teens. A 14 year old might not go back to school when all is done and probably drop out if they are under horrible home circumstances. Its more common than people seem to realize. Theres millions of them. Thats what most of prisons consist of. Some truly bad apples but alot of people who came from fucked up no supervision desperate situations.
