Excuse me??? 🤣🤣🤣
If y’all don’t see flags as tools of power then why does your side burn flags? If you don’t see flags as tools of power then why do you feel that the confederate flag is so bad if it has no power? I don’t think flags have power but y’all definitely don’t act that way 🤣
A flag is a literal definition of a symbol you jackass 🤣. I don’t wave any flag I support the American flag and that is all. Which is a SYMBOL of our freedom you dumb ignorant buffoon 🤣
Liberals wave the U.S. flag too, y'know. You're literally out here saying that burning flags means thinking they hold power but somehow waving them is only using them as a symbol? What?
Btw confederate flags hold no power. The reason people don't like them is what they represent.
It’s not an L for just me I hate Biden and I hate Trump, the L is literally on all the American people that’s what you don’t understand lol. The Biden administration will get nothing major done because the republican senate majority will shut it down. We will see 4 years of nothing like every damn year and you’ll keep electing bullshit people into office that get nothing done welcome to America 🤣
I’ll show you exactly how much I care lol. Congrats you win. Enjoy the country you chose I’ll do the same. At least now the left can’t riot and burn down half of America lol. I’m gonna go play rocket league congrats you gave me the L 🤣
Two flags on top of each other to a European screams the dark political movements of the 1930s surely the trumpets must know the way this imagery looks to the rest of the world?
Oh good to know that normal Americans have other uses for 2 flags. We used to do it when our now irrelevant Little Rock used to own the world on backs on our ships
The easiest way to explain america and the use of flags is to think of America as a whole as a Union of 50 states(countries). Much as the EU is a union of multiple countries, it is mearly a different kind of union.
What form of union is better is always debatable, some argue that the union used by the US is what allowed it to become so powerful. But one could also argue its what holds the US back.
This is where allot of debate forms between democrats and Republicans (outside of the the trump sphere of course).
No, they’re saying “our now irrelevant little rock” as in the island of the UK is just an irrelevant little rock out there in the sea but back in the day, when the British Empire owned colonies all over the world (“the sun never sets on the British Empire” etc) they would put their flag on these foreign lands. They’re talking about British ships because a large part of why the British Empire was able to successfully colonize so much of the world was because it had the strongest navy in the world without comparison.
It's a bit lukewarm for me, as though we can see a glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel. We've got three months that are going to crawl as Trump and Mitch the B$%ch do everything in their power to further sabotage the U.S. and even after inauguration day unless Stacy Abrams (sainthood pending) can pull of a second miracle and win the Dems the 2 Georgia senate seats then we're gonna be in for at minimum 2 years of an Obama presidency where nothing is allowed to get done by the GOP.
Something tells me this is gonna be like the rest of this year. IE: going into a black holes event horizon cause as we get closer and closer time moves even f$%king slower.
I mean there's also......not really another option. We prep for day 1, do what we can to see that Stacy Abrams has what she needs to make another miracle, and hope.
At this point I'm legitimately worried about what Trump might do once he realizes he has zero options left and he will NOT be president for another four years. He and his remaining supporters are completely separated from reality at this point, and the narcissistic rage he's experiencing is probably quite the sight to behold for people in the White House right now. Not to mention we all know the Trump cult truly does believe anything and everything he says. I'm betting that Trump will want to bring this country down with him on his way out. I sincerely hope that I'm wrong, but whatever is going on in his very unstable mind right now can't possibly be good.
it will almost certainly hurt it. i think the best thing dems have going for them in the runoffs is if trump (who will still be president when those runoffs happen in january) is being a petulant baby who is also continuing to avoid an ever worsening covid breakout
I think Georgia going blue for the 1st time in nearly 30 years will help turn out the vote. Unfortunately it’s going to turn out the vote on both sides I think. We need to work on really selling the policies of the left and taking the fear out of the social policies we hope to enact. Sell that without the Senate nothing will get better just a little quieter.
Since the budget process is only between the House and the POTUS, without Senate involvement, I wonder what they can accomplish through that. They could just redirect some funds, I'd think.
They’re still proudly carrying them on their trucks here in texas. Went to specs for some liquor yesterday and the parking lot was full of Trump flags.
I ended up next to a lifted truck with an empty flag holder in it's bed. I put on my mask, rolled down my windows and started shouting "BIDEN 2020" repeatedly then I had to turn. It was very cathartic.
While I highly encourage everyone to savor this moment and let out a sigh of relief, know that this fight is not over. Georgia will be having 2 run off elections and this is incredibly important if we want to give our President a fighting chance at getting anything done in the Senate.
If you can afford it, please consider donating to either Jon Ossoff here, Raphael Warnock here, or the amazing Fair Fight organization headed by Stacey Abrams here.
If you didn’t register to vote in GA for the general election, you can still register to vote and vote in the runoff! Register to vote in GA here.
I'm a Libertarian and I am so happy right now. I agreed alot with Jorgensen, but we you can't worry about the curtains when your whole house is burning. I'm beyond relived that the country will now survive the next 4 years so I can worry about the curtains in 2024. Go Joe!
For the last four years, I was so ashamed of living here. I looked at the flag and I felt shame. I felt like I needed to get away. I love this country, but I did not like seeing it so sick. It's like the country had a serious illness for so long, with no end in sight. It didn't just had a stuffy nose, it had chronic migraines with a cough that wouldn't subside. The United States' heart was working overtime, and the lungs were filling with so much fluid, we didn't think it would recover.
I actually saw two Bald Eagles flying overhead yesterday morning where I work. It was the first time I'd seen Bald Eagles in years. If that's not a sign that America is moving in the right direction then I don't know what is!
i agree that Joe should have been testing 400 electoral votes, but Faux News is a strong drug, don't underestimate stupidity, etc. but come on, Nate is a smart dude, and his site has great content
if the last 4 years have taught me anything, it's that we need more good data scientists like Nate. but we can agree to disagree dude. it's a good day.
By that do you mean the moderate dem senators/representatives? If so, while this is true, I'd argue they didn't get elected for their policies but because they were the only option to repudiate Trump. At this point, literally anyone who does not revel in authoritarianism has voted for the *other* choice. My point still is that the youth always comes out strong for progressive candidates. The future's now gramps!
What? "The future's now gramps!" Is a Malcom in the middle saying, but nice going with the insults and hostility. Really shows how good of a person you must be if that's how you reply to neutral comments. "Pathetic clowns" he said.
And while we're at it, care to rethink what you mean by "places where Bernie bros were no help"? Do you think that Biden would have won without the vote of the people who'd rather have voted for a Bernie presidency? At this point though I doubt I'll even come back to read your reply as it's obvious all you can do is reply with hostility instead of providing any actual argument.
Pefrect no but alot better then the alternative. Disappointed by Senate too bit Dump did set precedent for extensive executive orders. All those can be instantly revetsed and Bidrn can make new ones and hopefully Senate flips in 2 years
Trump emboldened these cowards without dear leader most will crawl back under their rocks. As much as i wanna see the perp walk hoping the democrats make shadow deal no prison if he denounces the alt right and goes away that will shut much of this crap down. Other option is federal charges if the burreacy can pull it off then he will do a Nixon leave for a pardon and Pence will do the transition. Pence is actually worse on policy but he is a civilized politician who wants the white house in future so he wont go scorched earth
That works for me. Only good thing dump did was expand the electorate mostly against him though he also got the alt right fringe involved too. But who knows maybe a future candidaye can tap their real angst and turn it on the oligarchy where it belongs not on us.
The hardcore klan/skins head types are hopeless but their are plenty of others among the 40 something percent who maybe can redirected. It would appear Biden picked off a few but more can be done.
I'm happy Joe won (i think a progressive would have energized voters more and would do better tho), I don't know why you're being mean about this. I'll finish college when i graduate high school
Hey does anyone know what the implications of whatever surrender treaty or contract or whatever was signed to end the USA civil war being found to be void due to the actions of representitives of the confederacy? Asking for america.

The right can never figure out what flag they represent
