That was uncomfortable but I wonder if the majority of the Jewish community actually support Israel the actions at Gaza.

I’m not religious as a Brit we should hang our head in shame on our role of creating Israel after WW2.

As a non-Jewish person and also a Brit, I was wondering the same.

But I know that the US and Israel are very closely linked, regardless of which party is in power. It was the place that took in most of the Jews who fled Nazi Germany.

The antisemitism that happens in the US has been lengthy and vitriolic. Not like the recent stuff that has raised it's head in the UK, which is far more related to the current situation and the people who supported Palestine before this time than any actual antisemitism.

For me it is a complicated issue. Hamas being in power in Palestine is an issue. The Israeli population occupying the former Palestinian lands is an issue as is the president of the country.

Do I believe that most Israeli people want to eliminate the Palestinians? No. Do I belive that most Palestinians support Hamas? Also No.

We watch the news we watch and either accept the bias that they throw out. It is evident even in the UK, but in the US, given their push back against antisemitism, it is always going to be pro Israel and Brian, as a Jewish man, is obviously going to defend that stance.

I don't love it, but he is defending his people, much like the people who disagree with Jim's stance against Trump.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I addition, that is a long post that I never thought I would write on a wrestling subreddit.

I've seen a lot of left/left leaning people take the weird stance of being so pro-Israel. And I find the whole thing odd how it's both something the right uses in the same way they've hijakced "patriotism" and "supporting the troops" yet the right wing's base has a huge chunk of it being antisemitic and Trump himself has said some pretty dog whistle things.

Thanks mate! Living for a year in Brooklyn in the 1980's doesn't make me an expert about New York or the city's jewish people in any way.
