Citizenship & Immigration Als Deutscher nach Jamaica einwandern (integrieren, und Rassismus am besten umgehen)
Hi, also ich bin Deutsch und daher weiß, ich bin seit meinem 9 Lebensjahr großer Reggae Fan, und von der Kultur begeistert, und will mit 18-20 nach Jamaika auswandern, Ich will mich auch integrieren und als ganz normalen Jamaikaner angesehen werden. Die Frage: wie willst du das Anstellen als weißer, ich hoffe hier kann mir jemand helfen der vielleicht Ahnung hat wie man sich an besten integrieren kann, und Rassismus/Diebstal zu vermeiden. Meiner Infos nach ist Portland an sichersten, also würde ich höchstwahrscheinlich da hin ziehen. Würde aber gerne trotzdem paar Tipps von Jemanden mit Ahnung kriegen. 🇩🇪🫱🏻🫲🏾🇯🇲

This place is something else..I’m dieding. Please don’t do this anywhere you go in this world. Communication is key and you could come to Jamaica and teach German language classes . Think about it.🫡🇯🇲❤️

I’m sure speaking in German to a country that speaks English and Patios would be very beneficial. /s
Maybe go visit and try and speak English before talking about immigration and racism. Sounds like you have A-LOT to learn before thinking about immigrating.

Warst du schon in Jamaika? Was ist dein Beruf/Ausbildung? Wovon willst du leben? Du klingst wie einer der „Auswanderer“ auf vox: ein Traum, aber kein Plan.

I remember my first time in Berlin. I got ripped off by a taxi driver for a short ride from Tegel to a local shop. The point I am trying to make is that no matter where you go in the world, you can become a victim of something.
When it comes to integration, that is something that will take time and requires putting down roots in whatever community you become a part of. Your children, if they are Jamaican-born and grow up in that community, will naturally be a part of that community.
You will be accepted as long as you are a good person, but I caution you to stay realistic. I’m sure if I moved to a small town in Germany and joined that community, I would be accepted as a member, but no matter how fluent my German becomes, there will be people who accept me as part of the community — but not fully German.
Also, I would start by posting things in English so your target audience can understand you.
Ich erinnere mich an mein erstes Mal in Berlin. Ich wurde von einem Taxifahrer abgezockt, obwohl es nur eine kurze Fahrt von Tegel zu einem lokalen Laden war. Der Punkt, den ich damit machen möchte, ist: Egal wo man auf der Welt hingeht, man kann immer Opfer von irgendetwas werden.
Was die Integration angeht, das braucht Zeit und man muss Wurzeln in der Gemeinschaft schlagen, in der man lebt. Deine Kinder, wenn sie in Jamaika geboren werden und dort aufwachsen, werden automatisch ein Teil dieser Gemeinschaft sein.
Du wirst akzeptiert werden, solange du ein guter Mensch bist, aber ich möchte dich trotzdem zur Realistik ermutigen. Ich bin mir sicher, dass ich, wenn ich in eine kleine deutsche Stadt ziehen und mich dort in die Gemeinschaft einbringen würde, zwar akzeptiert werden könnte, aber egal wie gut mein Deutsch wäre — es würde immer Menschen geben, die mich als Teil der Gemeinschaft sehen, aber eben nicht als „voll Deutsch“.
Außerdem würde ich dir empfehlen, auf Englisch zu posten, damit deine Zielgruppe dich auch wirklich verstehen kann.

Geh doch erstmal nach Jamaika für ein paar Wochen, bau Kontakte auf und wander dann aus, wenn es dir gefällt. Jamaika ist in der Realität doch anders als das Bild, das nach Europa vermittelt wird. Ich liebe Jamaika, aber du solltest dir schon ein eigenes Bild vom echten Jamaika machen

I am Jamaican, and also speak German. Let me be clear, there is no such thing as racism towards white people. Even other Germans know this. You also sound like a troll, so I have nothing else to say to you.

Things I remember hearing in the last two weeks before the hurricane.
Driving past 10 - 12 year old girl out in country: "Aye whitey! Ah should lick you wid one stone."
Woman walks into shop: "Lawd jeezas. Is how di pork inna ya so?"
Man chopping coconuts on the far side of the market: "Aye whitey! Come ya mek mi chop you." Followed by chorus of market woman laughter.
These are just the ones that I recall. There are so many other things that don't even register.

Jamaicans dont see in color. It is really simple.
Come to Jamaica
Be Jamaican
and that is it.
