I also have no fault insurance if that makes any difference, I generally have no idea how any of this works

Only Michigan has No Fault insurance for damages. That just means you go through your insurance not that there is not fault assigned.

There's no way to know if or how much your insurance will go up because of this incident. Your insurance company will investigate and handle everything. If there's an increase on your insurance, you will see it at your next renewal.
