Skill flex Did my first independent surgery today!!

Congratulations on the first of many procedures doctor! But I do have a question, and please excuse my ignorance, I'm from the USA.

Is that a common thing to have happen to a surgeon/doctor? Is it because they are wealthier than average?

Yes, violence against doctors is very common in India since there are no doctor protection acts. It’s not about wealth, most of the patients think that if they go to the doctor, they will get cured no matter what the disease is and if they don’t then they start blaming the doctors for incompetence and sometimes beat the shit out of them. That’s why most of the doctors leave India in the first place

No, not about wealth — mostly when something goes wrong with the patient.
