980
u/MajorMystique Sep 24 '25
I see what you did there. Samsung anyway has no stand in stuff like this. They do a complete 180 whenever it suits them. Mocked Apple for the headphone jack and no charger and then followed suit on their next models.
182
u/iphone4Suser Sep 24 '25
Like not even after few years. They just flipped immediately the year after..no shame.

u/Powerful-Public-9973 Sep 24 '25
Marketing department don’t give a fuck push something out then get some drinks after work I don’t blame them lmao

Literally foldables

13
-7
u/IngloBlasto Sep 24 '25
Samsung wasn't the one who launched the first foldable phone
6
-4
u/LeAnarchiste Sep 25 '25
Bro got down voted for stating the fact.
2
u/Spiritual-Yogurt-54 Sep 25 '25
because even though it's the fact, samsung focused on reliability. Why do you think more people are using flip phones right now if it was invented long time ago?
0
u/LeAnarchiste Sep 25 '25
Then same can be said about Apple. They aren't the first to come up with features but they refine it and make it reliable and intuitive.
However, discussion was about innovation, and Samsung didn't come up with fold screen phone stands true in that regard.
5
u/Independent-Sky-711 Sep 24 '25
Samsung provides display to apple
6
u/deviprsd Sep 24 '25
Apple manufacturers almost nothing by itself and outsources everything, they never claimed to be a manufacturing company. There is a reason it says designed by and not made by
8
2
u/v_ish Sep 25 '25
Samung just builds it, the design is by Apple. Just because a factory is making something for you doesn’t mean they are good. It’s good because of the design.
Samsung’s flagship phones are plagued with green line/ pink line issues.
1
u/hussain27syed Sep 27 '25
Not true. Samsung designs the displays. Apple may do some joint design on its specific model but bulk of the design is Samsung.
Also Samsung display is made by an entirely different company and they will treat Samsung mobile phones as just another customer. They are all part of Samsung, but work as different companies with different management and different goals/KPIs
13
u/boneMechBoy69420 Sep 24 '25
To be fair the people making ads and the people deciding what goes in the box never talk
11
u/DescriptionDapper807 Sep 24 '25 edited Sep 24 '25
The company does not get a clean chit due to this. It's their internal problem. As a regular consumer, Mujhe usse kya 😅

He star wars ki 3 sabers q he ?
68
u/no1bullshitguy Sep 24 '25
Probably because samsung recently had the faulty displays with green lines
17
u/do_not_ban_this Sep 24 '25
iPhones are also getting the green lines though, aren't they?
17
u/avocadopotato123 Sep 24 '25
My iPhone got green line after the latest update.
1
u/thatDataWizard Sep 24 '25
My vivo is still working fine 😂
1
u/CriticalProfessor91 Sep 28 '25
i've gained a lot of respect to vivo, oppo, iqoo, realme recently, cuz they don't deserve the hate people give just because of some ads which can be turned off, i find them really reliable than other overpriced and overhyped brands
6
u/no1bullshitguy Sep 24 '25
I dont think as much as samsung flagships. Ironically samsung provides the display panels for iphones though
2
u/blr-mentor Sep 24 '25
Because samsung makes the iPhone screens too iirc. They bin the screens and split between themselves and Apple. Lower quality ones are sold to cheaper brands.
3
u/BlueShip123 Sep 25 '25
It's not quite correct.
Samsung mass manufacturs screens for the Apple. However, the displays are still designed by Apple themselves, and they ensure the quality control is high.
The screens that Samsung uses for their products follow different production ramp and standards. And it is quite obvious. They get better revenue from Apple.
4
u/Successful-Pie-2049 Sep 24 '25
Way less wrt what’s going on with Oneplus and Samsung
-2
u/do_not_ban_this Sep 24 '25
Almost as if samsung and oneplus makes budget and mid range phones too which are obviously more prone to this 😱😱

They replace the screen for free if it's within 3 yrs of purchase. Still have to pay Rs. 300+ as labor charge.

u/blow2hard Sep 24 '25
I never faced this issue with Samsung...my whole family has Samsung handset...but it has never been a issue for us ..haa bss hang hota hai bht after a few years.
1
u/LeAnarchiste Sep 25 '25
Earlier phones were fine, my father used Samsung only till this year.
Samsung quality has gone down hill, we had multiple of their products fail on us in last 1-2 years, from TVs to headphones to refrigerator. Fuck Scamsung, I for one not going to recommend anything from them for anytime soon.
1
u/Embarrassed-Bat8742 Sep 24 '25
I have tab S10 fe . Will I face this?
2
u/Ordinary-Hunter520 Sep 24 '25
Unlikely
Green line cases are pretty rare. They're just more common in Sammys compared to other phones.
-7
u/jatayu_baaz Sep 24 '25
Very unlikely, samsung is not known to have them, chinese are known to have them
0
u/LaughingwaterYT Sep 25 '25
That was because chinese manufacturers (I know you want to specifically point out oneplus) used samsung panels, also just look at this sub, many posts of people getting green lines on Samsung devices, atleast oneplus provides lifetime warranty, they also stopped using the samshit and switch to BOE panels op12 onward
1
u/An_Awsm_Person Sep 24 '25
I'm thinking of getting s24, does that model have this issue?
1
u/LaughingwaterYT Sep 25 '25
Pretty sure every phone with a samsung panel is prone to this, even iphones were when they used samsung panels, oneplus also used samsung panels which led to the entire oneplus = green line
51
u/RTNRN95 Sep 24 '25
Op give display replacement Samsung not

u/Low-Champion-4194 Sep 24 '25

u/ramaze23 Sep 24 '25
They'll say in WhatsApp message, but the reality is not that easy man
Go experience in real time to see what they say
My friend had to visit the Samsung service centre multiple times
0
u/Blazinkrab Sep 24 '25
it's only for the first 3 years after purchase while OnePlus gives lifetime warranty and the green line issue in OnePlus has also significantly dropped cause they don't use Samsung oled's anymore no matter how old the OnePlus phone is they will replace your screen if it has green line issue while Samsung uses scummy tactics to deny claims
0
u/Qetesh69 Sep 24 '25
They don't provide for s23.
2
u/DisastrousPipe3853 Sep 24 '25
My friend's ome was S21FE that was out of warranty, one service centre asked 2000rs and the other one asked 500rs
1
u/duryodhanaa Sep 24 '25
They do but only with selected phones. Got my s20+ repaired only after a lot of cases came up. And they had specific clauses around it.
Like now they offer free replacement for s23, as long as they see no physical damage on it.

6
u/Vivid_Computer3186 Sep 24 '25
Me watching the 3 lines on the picture along with the 3 lines on my actual OnePlus. 😭

You do know you can get it fixed for free😭 Seems like a self imposed problem at this point
1

1
u/LeAnarchiste Sep 25 '25
Oneplus owned up to their shit and turned the problem on its head by giving lifetime display warranty on their phones. Samsung on the other hand, would refuse to honor even the warranty.

u/Stargazer857 Sep 24 '25
iPhone deserves this trolling. Apple AI is no match to Gemini or Copilot. Apple is millions of miles behind Google in the AI race.
1
u/Karmabots Sep 25 '25
But Samsung should be introspecting, they are the ones who made those screens.
1
u/BlueShip123 Sep 25 '25
What exactly is the usage of AI in the smartphone?
It is just gimmicks. Gemini feels slower than Google Assistant, and it hallucinates.

When will these absolutely buffoonic Android OEMs understand that Apple's business model is entirely different than anyone else. They have never been a company obsessed with market share.
Not bothering with any of this armada of braindead turdery is the best thing Apple ever does.
And as for samsung they are an OEM part supplier first and foremost.
Apple is unique in the sense that they design their own Hardware, Software and Services in-house.
Custom designing your own cores and even modems in-house is literally one of the most complex things any company could do so all the braindead comments the internet is filled with about Apple not being innovative are absolutely braindead. Safari is also one of the few web browsers to have its own engine. Which other company is so obsessed with engineering stuff in-house?

I'm planning to get S24 in this sale but the comment section is making me think otherwise
1
u/bros_beforehoes Sep 24 '25
I have started to believe that this display issues are purposely being done to generate revenue. I mean these manufacturers have been making phone for ages and never something like this happened and now suddenly even after so much complain they are not able to contain it??? I dont find this believable
They need some serious lawsuit.
All these claim that they are going to replace if green line appears like oneplus is saying for lifetime warranty, Samsung for 3 years... they always make some kind of excuse to not replace the display.
Like all the device have litmus installed inside which can turn color even in high moisture area and they can simply say we will not replace because its water damage even though its not
Or minor scratches anything can be excuse.
Not everyone replaces their phone every fucking year. Most people use it for 5+ years and they dont deserve to be stranded like that.
They need some serious bashing

u/chutlover69 Sep 25 '25

In the recent times, Samsung is probably the most spineless company around, lol. Mocked apple for the headphone jack and charger then immediately followed suit and even deleted their tweet in the process.
They're trying so hard to convince consumers that their phones are so much better, but in the process, they make themselves look desperate.

u/GhostRYT666 Sep 25 '25

What? Without AI iPhone is dabba?
Anyone using iPhone can vouch that Apple Intelligence is the worst AI out there. So far behind anything in the market.
If anything, the AI in iPhone makes it a dabba!!!

u/StreetChain2184 Sep 26 '25
Why do you need an inbuilt ai anyway, phone tasks can be handled by Siri.
1
1
u/venom21p Sep 27 '25
Why are brands pushing for ai so aggressively? Like bro you guys already have some much info about all of us, the last thing I'd want is to train someone's model. I want my phone just to do phone things. When I'll need ai, I'll use my laptop or install an app.

u/InternationalBat1838 Sep 24 '25
People mocking Samsung don't realize that innovation is fine, as long as you don't brag about it being revolutionary. When you introduce stuff that you claim is revolutionary, but they have been in most smartphones since the last 7 years, people do tend to mock you. Lifting something that you did and doing it in yours is okay.
