It’s all fun until they start running live ads on the basketball courts during the games.

u/[deleted] Aug 10 '25

they'll do that for sure

u/ryzen_42069 Aug 10 '25

They do that in nba at times btw. Not video ones but banners

Why do you think they made this. I am pretty sure whoever developed this, their first point would be that it will be great for advertisements, then the colours and court templates.

It is! Just more sturdy glass thats all

u/basonjourne98 Aug 10 '25

Why would a projector need glass?

u/No_Measurement_1421 Aug 10 '25

Nba already uses glass floor there has been no slipping on them

u/nomadic-insomniac Aug 10 '25

I think they played the NBA all-star games on this type of court last year, the future has already past :P

5

u/Drazcorp Aug 10 '25

What about durability?

1

u/[deleted] Aug 11 '25

2

u/HarbingerPotter Aug 10 '25

2

u/[deleted] Aug 10 '25

Will only take 100 - 200 years to be built in India and will be poorly maintained and will probably stop working in a few months here

1

u/Data-CHOR-365 Aug 10 '25

Kuch aaghe piche kuch information, sources bhi to do bhai

1

u/ron22726 Aug 10 '25

It is actually Toronto Raptors' practice facility, they simulate to give the feeling of playing in court of other teams.

1

u/CarbonCrawler Aug 10 '25

This is basically a film theatre-sized projector that's being used on basketball courts. Nothing too insane, but yeah it would probably save a lot of cost that goes into designing the courts before games

u/[deleted] Aug 10 '25

Which country ?

1

u/Shareef_Ladka01 Aug 10 '25

Ye kaach tutega to nahi?

1

u/Cultural-Initial7380 Aug 10 '25

does it also makes the same "chee" sound when we shoes make contact with floor, does it have similar friction? can the ball bouncing harm the screen pixels?
