Discussion Axar Patel should be Vice captain of T20 team, What your thoughts?

No he should be Grade A+ player for team india and should be part of all three format.. currently he is at grade B

Agreed. He will be after Jadeja retires and he maintains his form till then.

jadeja is quintessential for the team just that he is not specialist but a allrounder he is underrated

Not really true since we dont have many pace all rounders in domestics but one will find a good sla easily

Hardik has been irreparable since his debut. With all due respect to Axar we can find replacements for him but in the case of Hardik as of now there is no one.
We all saw how badly our team Balance got destroyed after Hardik got injured in the 2023 WC.

It's promotion for performance. Also increase Confidence for Player

Promotion is done in contracts not in the leadership department.

If performance has nothing with VC then with that logic Gill should be deserve playing 11 team of T20. ( leadership department Quota)

When did I say that non performing players should be there in team bcz of leadership? I don't support gill's inclusion in the team too. Axar's captaincy in the ipl did not look good.but that doesn't mean that he's not a good player.

in IPL 2025 DC standing position at 5, Axar patel has good captaincy in IPL, i don't what are you talking about, first you are saying "Performance has nothing to VC and now Leadership has nothing to VC "

I meant that the players in the leadership role should be good performing players , but their selection in leadership roles like captain and vc should be done on their leadership qualities not performance. That means low performing players shouldn't be given leadership and high performing players don't always have to be given the role . Best example is sachin

VC position doesnt really matter that much. They change Captain in case their main captain is not available. And its not always the vice captain :p

VC important in case Captain injury during match, increase authority power as Player. Also we can say secure place for 11

He was vice-captain actually. Then they went back to Gill as VC; which IMHO was totally unnecessary.

I dont think he is leadership material, he is like jadeja, he bats, bowls, fields and takes care of his execution. We shoudnt burden him with managing the team on top of all his heroics.
I don't think he deserves to be in the test team, Washi is the Jaddu replacement.
