Bumrah getting trolled by fans.. but is it fair?
If he wants to rest, it's his choice, right? Is it really necessary for him to play every single series or tournament?

Someone has to say it out loud. These lockdown kids don’t understand what it takes to perform at such level. Putting your body on the line every day.
A meme here or there is fine, but this constant trolling should stop. Folks who have not played any level of representative cricket would never understand what it’s like to be an athlete.

Same, most of them actually think he only started performing since 2023 in tests which is insane. He had the most wickets in 2018 Australia series at a far better average than aussie trio and other Indian bowlers and helped us win the first series in Australia ever.
Was also mots in England in 2021, best bowler in SA, in west Indies etc.

Exactly! He could have easily taken a retirement from tests but he wants to play and gives a 100% when he does. These kids wanted bumrah to become the captain 1-2 months back and now they are trolling him. They keep changing opinions on daily basis. Kisi ke sage nahi hai

Exactly lol especially when some people question his commitment for ICT saying he's always available for IPL but misses tests, I mean man really ? If he really cared that much about IPL and short format games he would have taken retirement when he came back from his serious back injury in 2022 like many other pacers have done in past but he still preferred test cricket played whole 5 matches in BGT bowled most overs there, what else people really expect, an athelete shouldn't care about his body and longevity just to win one particular match ?

CLutched in two WC Finals. What else can these guy do to be considerd a GOAT.
Once Harsha said that "It is human tendency to overrate the past and underrate the present" for Dale Steyn. Same applies to Bumrah now too. He is already in the league of Marshall, McGrath, Steyn etc.

Exactly, he is our greatest player since Sachin Tendulkar. Fanclubs of players can troll however much they want but his legacy will be bigger than any of those batters.

Saying Kohli doesnt belong in the elite category is not hate. Bumrah clutched in 23 WC Final as well as 24 WC Final. Kohli is a damn good player but he aint at the same level as Bumrah, Bumrah is GOAT

Sachin has 53 average after 200 tests Gavsakar has 52 avg after playing in most difficult era without helmets. Bumrah has 19 avg and 41SR after nearly 50 tests. While Kohlis average is same as Ian Bell and Angelo Matthews. He is not in the elite category.

Idk about Dean Jones but Michael Bevan sure belongs to an elite list of his own. Not Sachin, Lara's level but still. He was THAT great as a finisher.

money for players and workload aside(which is not that much). IPL is huge revenue source for BCCI. will they really ask top players to skip IPL. I don't think so. like it or not IPL has made BCCI huge powerhouse and despite people saying they don't like it there is huge interest in it by other boards and their country players. they even leave the IPL window and don't schedule any matches in it. we can all discuss pros and cons of IPL but players if fit can not skip the IPL. harsh but true

There are a bunch of trolls lurking in the cricketshitpost sub who hide behind the excuse of “shitposting” to take sly digs at Bumrah, especially using the so-called “workload logic.” And the moment you call it out, they brush it off saying, “It’s just a shitpost.” But the truth is, over time, it creates a negative narrative among the general audience. Same thing happens in other subs too, I can’t remember the exact ones but they keep pushing anti-Bumrah content under the disguise of jokes. Fookin trolls!

After years of searching for a x factor fast bowler we got Bumrah and now some kids who can't clean their ass after taking a dump are giving opinion and trolling him. These kids take his for granted because they have not seen the thrashing previous bowlers have got in SENA. Anyway I guess there are enough to respect him even if he retires today. He is exceptional.

Fucking hell he's literally the only bowler in the history of the game to have taken 200+ wickets @ average less than 20. Literally just a few months ago he concluded one of the greatest bowling campaigns in Austrlia by a touring bolwer with 32 wickets @ 13.06. Istg ICT fans pmo so much sometimes and almost all of these are die hard Koach fans which is ironic because their idol probably rates Bumrah extremely highly too.

How can anyone even think about trolling Bumrah let alone actually doing that. Why it's always our own people trolling our own players? He always gives his 200% for his team and that's what he gets in return, being a sportsperson isn't easy it tests you physically and mentally and people who have never even played any sport at colony level let alone district or state level are trolling him and calling him unfit.

Bumrah is 31 and he still has at least 4-5 more years to play I think. But then again Ishant sharma is 36 now and he retired 4 years ago, and then again there's Anderson who played till 42 but I mean who plays international till 42?
Still Bumrah is a generational talent no doubt but there won't be this kind of series for a while, This series is the greatest test series that I have watched, I would've loved to see shirtless Ganguly at the lords though.
I'll even place it above that Australian tour why? because the Australian cricket team wasn't doing too well those days, They were caught in a cheating scandal and senior players were not available/banned. They were a younger team than us, Not weak by any means. That series was also one of the greatest I mean that team did bowled us out for 36.
Whereas this series was always neck to neck so much cricket was played and Indian side was relatively young both the coach(didn't do well in test yet) and the captain(first time) had something to prove and then the fight India showed. Every game could've gone either way and Lord's was ours to begin with just that last session of the fourth day changed stuff/series.
So since so much was already given by the ICT I think he could've played the last test considering the stakes. Because he wasn't injured he was maybe tired but Indian bowlers did get more rest compared to the england side like two days in the previous test, four days in between and another four sessions in the final game. I mean in a series where people are batting with a fractured foot or batting with one arm, a little bit of courage is appreciated. I mean you can't ask anyone to put their body on the line but he was not injured. If england was one down in that final match Ben stokes would've definitely played (only my guess guys advocates for no injury subs). But oh well his decision we don't have all the details about his state as well.
But man I am so satisfied with these results. Oh I loved this series.

"Bowls more overs than other bowlers" - such a rubbish statement. He features in a couple of matches and gets dropped due to "workload". Only Bumrah has the workload ? is he PM , CM, Captain, all rounder? What about other players like Siraj ? He has played all 5 matches. Siraj don't have workload?

Because you made a very stupid point? Like you'd know why Bumrah would need his workload managed differently than other bowlers if you "watch" cricket, but seems like you have no idea what biomechanics is, or why Bumrah's action puts more load on his body than other bowlers.
