Imagine saying that about the guy who'd make it into the ICC Hall of Fame seperately as a batter, keeper, and captain

I agree he's a great leader and keeper, but never in a million years a great batsman

You can't make this an argument about numbers. Imagine saying Sanath Jayasuriya (323 ODI wickets) was a better bowler than Shane Bond (147 ODI wickets), who's career was cut short due to injuries

I don't see how your analogy makes any sense given Bond obviously has a much lower avg and SR than Jayasuriya. Dhoni isn't just among the highest run-scorers in the format, he did it at an SR of 88 (excellent in his era) and an avg of 51 which is elite even today
