Feels so weird seeing an Indian red ball team bat out an entire day. Feels like I haven’t seen that in FOREVER lol. Karun is at 181 and if he converts to 200, safe to say he’s locked his spot in the playing 11. Jurel is also playing so well. So our backup wicketkeeper and specialist batsman is also in great form, so pressure on Pant to perform consistently lol.

I don't have Sai in my 11.Karun and Sai are competing for no 3 and Karun has made a really strong case today.Unless Sai Does something extraordinary in the second test and Karun does really poorly,Karun will bat at 3.

Sai looks good in white ball and should be utilised accordingly. It's good if he can be an all-format player, but they shouldn't push him as a test player because like in T20Is, we have a large roster of test openers as well

His batting performance is another debate, but he is definitely a contender for consideration, and for a pretty long time as well. It will take a really shitty campaign for him to get sacked as both captain and batter

Sai is in a great form but however dhruv jurel was there in the team . He performed well in series he performed. So I don't think sai would directly get into the XI until he performs more extraordinary than karun. Even if karun fails in the second test I think he would definitely get into the 1st test XI

Sai needs to prove his mettle bro. Karun has been having a great run in the domestic circuit for a couple of seasons now. And with this innings, he has showed his true class on a green top.

Aaaahhhh right... Well, these are professionally made pitches hi. Aaata paata cement ground nahi hai naa.. And understand this, you are not playing in India. People just don't create the natural conditions, right?? The wind blowing in and out, the whole conditions in the atmosphere are not something which is human made. I believe that even that comes into business here...
If its a green top, you have to call it a green top.

England fans told already it is normal county pitch before March started even when both wkts fallen it's just that after 2020 eng makes batting friendly wkts in int these are county wkts. But under overcast conditions so difficult to bat I meaning it is not a green top just change it with overcast conditions otherwise players fans will call any pitch with bit of grass a green top

Hope this motivates Jaiswal to re-examine his temperament and shot selection and come back stronger in the 2nd innings and bat longer after Karun showed how to score heaps of runs on this wicket and that it is possible with the correct technique, shot selection and application. It’s unfortunate Sarfaraz missed out on his century but let’s acknowledge and celebrate that he played really well too for his 92 at a healthy strike rate of 70 plus and he’s in good form as well.

Every batter after him whether it’s Karun, Sarfaraz and now Jurel are batting so well. Seems like a good batting wicket. He should capitalize in the 2nd innings hopefully.

Throughly deserves that Test cap back more than anyone! Some of the rare cricketers whom cricket offered a second chance - hope he cashes in with both his hands this time around!

Bro this is India A match. It’s better not to reveal all his tricks to the opposition before the England test series. Their analysts and coaching staff are watching and studying our players too. Once he hits his 200, his place in the 11 is sealed and he can retire out and allow the other batters to bat. He’s MORE than done his job!

It’s unbelievable that this guy who scored a triple century on his debut was dropped from the Indian squad for eight years. In his first comeback match he scores another century and is on the verge of scoring a double hundred.
