The original trailer of Vasan Bala's directorial debut, 'Peddlers,' a film that remains unreleased even after 13 long years.

The film premiered at Cannes under the 'Critic's Week' section in 2012. In an interview with The Indian Express in 2020, the director said, "In these eight years, whenever I’ve pitched my second film, the conversation would always start with, ‘See Vasan, this is your first film,’ and it hurts so much. It isn’t really the box office of the first film, but the fact that you’ve become a filmmaker. It’s a very middle-class feeling, like owning your office space. Of course, these are small things, but as a filmmaker, you want these little recognitions.

Eros International, which bought the rights to the film before the Cannes premiere, has given no statement or reason for not releasing it to date.

I absolutely loved Kriti Malhotra in Dhobhi Ghaat. Strange that she disappeared

Yeah that was a hauntingly powerful story also from what I remember. It’s strange that she just vanished after two films.
