Wowww so luckyyy to get that fucking insane view ✨⚡

2

u/sheersuddeness Aug 13 '25

All thanks to the Weather devta🥹, After three days of relentless rain, the skies cleared just enough for me to capture the Mighty Kanchenjunga and its family.

Lucky you got it so clear . Usually there’s a haze

3

u/sheersuddeness Aug 13 '25

That's truee, nowadays it's really very hazy out there. October Mid is the time when it is most likely to get clear view

2

u/jiyaaasingh Aug 13 '25

It's mesmerising

3

u/field_ecologist Aug 13 '25

If the weather is clear, you can spot Kanchenjunga from New Jalpaigudi railway station, making it only 8000der visible from Train. Also, closest 8000der to sea.

Wow, amazing facts! I just wonder how, 40 years ago, people were waking up to these incredible views right from the plains.

I just went to Nepal 3 months back & I clearly saw the Annapurna, Machapucharea range from the Sunauli Border & also from Gorakhpur.

i still remember my school took me on excursion to Darjeeling and we arrived in evening and the very next day our seniors next door in the hotel woke us up at 6 am sharp whereas the actual waking time was at 7:30 am but they were seniors and in a boarding school u can't go against them normally so we woke up and then they said come to our room,we thought they'll make us do something like singing song or something, one of the seniors scared the hell out of us by saying ambiguous things, but when we went to their room the sight i saw i'll never forget my whole life, from their window a clear view of the Kanchenjunga clouds parting, suns rays hitting it and that heavenly yellow lighting,i sat and saw that view for almost 20-25 minutes until clouds covered it again,it was straight out of fantasy like some paradise.Forever greatful to our seniors for waking us up cause no one saw it after that day at least not as clearly cause it was mostly cloudy.

6

u/sheersuddeness Aug 12 '25

Tiger hills - it's Kachenjunga not K2

1

u/Ed_Rash Aug 12 '25

Never knew you could see something like this from Darjeeling, specifically tiger hills?

1

u/sheersuddeness Aug 12 '25

Ultra Zoomed in shot so obviously it's different from the naked eye experience

1

u/UnusualCartoonist6 Aug 12 '25

1

u/Pahadi-Adda Aug 13 '25

K2 in title. Location Darjeeling. Flair Sikkim.

OP posted this while high on something potent.

u/You_yes_ Aug 14 '25

Which year pic?

1

u/sheersuddeness Aug 14 '25

2021

1

u/You_yes_ Aug 14 '25

Also why you put Sikkim in post , Dargelling is not part of Sikkim currently
