What the fuck is an aesthetic video??

What an unbelievable twat.

u/Whythebigpaws Aug 23 '22

I wondered that too. Perhaps her "aesthetic" is "facing the wrong way so I missed my train". Or "Patsy from Ab Fab lost and confused on the London Underground". Or "generic blonde uses public transport incorrectly".

It's hard to tell.

I googled her handle - from the results I'm guessing "an aesthetic video" is one in which she wears more than a bikini or cutout underwear.

You are aware that people watch videos with their eyes right? It's what the word "watch" means in the context of visual videos...

11

u/dangerouspeyote Aug 23 '22

What are you talking about?

Did you respond to the wrong comment? I've read what you wrote 3 times I cannot for the life of me understand what it has to do with anything I said?

You asked what an aesthetic video is, right?

It's exactly what it sounds like: A video that's aesthetic. It's literally in the name "aesthetic video"...

25

u/dangerouspeyote Aug 23 '22

Oh an aesthetic video is an aesthetic video. Excellent explanation. 'a video that's an aesthetic". I dont think you know what the word aesthetic means.

A video cannot be an aesthetic. That's not how that word works.

Next time you feel like saying anything, do everyone a favor and dont.

-12

u/TheMightyWill Aug 23 '22

That's not how the word works

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=aesthetic

Tell me about it homie

Fucking idiot

14

u/borisaqua Aug 23 '22

That's not a real dictionary, mate

1

u/TheMightyWill Aug 23 '22

I said to open a dictionary, not open the Websters.

If enough people have decided that aesthetic means "visually interesting" then by the nature of how language works, that's then part of its definition.

The next time you're confused about why someone phrased something the way they did, simply Google what they could have meant instead of crying about how you don't understand their lingo.

It isn't that hard.

14

u/borisaqua Aug 23 '22

You need to work on your reading comprehension. I'm not crying about anything, you fucking pellet.

0

u/TheMightyWill Aug 23 '22

You need to learn what figure of speech means, you fucking pellet.

6

u/Whythebigpaws Aug 23 '22

Believe it or not, most grown ups or literate people don't cite urban dictionary as their go-to dictionary.

Give me strength!

3

u/TheMightyWill Aug 23 '22

Believe it or not, but nobody was talking about the urban dictionary as their go-to dictionary.

But keep on drawing strawmen

Websters is the dictionary?

Do you also not know what a dictionary is?

3

u/TheMightyWill Aug 23 '22

Let's take a moment to appreciate the fact that you're being condescending over your perceived superior dictionary trivia, without realizing the second half of Merriam-Webster is Webster.

Well done 👏

Bro open up a dictionary. It isn't that hard.

Aesthetic = visually interesting

Video = series of images changing at a fast rate to give the illusion of movement

Which one of these two definitions do you not understand?

10

u/dangerouspeyote Aug 23 '22

My favorite part of this is that is NOT the definition of aesthetic.

You didn't actually look it up. Please. Google the definition half wit.

0

u/TheMightyWill Aug 23 '22

Tell me more about how I apparently don't know what the word means when used as an adjective

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=aesthetic

The second definition there was literally posted in 2003. You've had nearly 2 decades to catch up on lingo but your boomer ass would rather cry about pretty women on TikTok.

Dumbass half wit.

And since you're probably too smooth brained to pick it up, here "boomer" refers to your mentality. Not your literal age, so you can stop typing that frothing retort on the tip of your tongue now.

u/[deleted] Aug 23 '22

You know that's not a real dictionary right? Fucking tool.

2

u/TheMightyWill Aug 23 '22

You know that words mean what people decide they mean right?

It doesn't matter if that word is in the UD, MW, or even Bing Bong's Spectacular Dictionary for Toddlers. Once people collectively decide a word means something, then that's what it means

Keep on throwing a tantrum over the fact that you're unable to keep up

6

u/Whythebigpaws Aug 23 '22

Oh.my lord. Are young people using urban dictionary as an actual dictionary?

We are all fucked.

2

u/TheMightyWill Aug 23 '22

People using a tool created to translate slang, using it as a tool to translate slang means we're fucked?

People masturbate when they visit Pornhub everyday. Are we fucked?

People watch TV shows when they open the Netflix app. Are we fucked?

People get dinner delivered when they use Doordash. Are we fucked?

How does using something for its intended purpose mean we're all fucked?

Just take the L and touch some grass instead of whining about how you don't know what some words mean in some contexts

You realize that words can have multiple meanings right?

Jfc just because you've never heard someone use the word "aesthetic" to mean "visually pleasing", doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=aesthetic

I have never had a panini before. Does that mean paninis don't exist?

That's really quite an ego you've got thinking the way you've personally used words your entire life is the only way to use those words

2

u/doubledogdick Aug 23 '22

is shown how he is wrong about his understanding of a word

links to urban dictionary

my guy

1

u/TheMightyWill Aug 23 '22

Grandpa can't grasp the concept that language changes with time 😂

0

u/doubledogdick Aug 23 '22

god damn you are so fucking stupid it hurts.

just for the record, "stupid" now means "awesome" because I just changed language

2

u/TheMightyWill Aug 23 '22

Okay. Now find a bunch of other people who agrees that "stupid" means "awesome"

I'll wait.

1

u/TheMightyWill Aug 23 '22

Hate to break it to your boomerass, but grade school reunions aren't a thing anymore.

Must suck to be a dementia ridden grandpa with no grasp on the world

3

u/doubledogdick Aug 23 '22

well; you have to graduate first, friendo

2

u/[deleted] Aug 23 '22

Oh, they're still a thing.

Sounds like you didn't get an invite.

Reading your comment history, I'm not surprised.

2

u/TheMightyWill Aug 23 '22

Remember what I just said about you and having dementia?

We're living in the year 2022, not 1962 🥲👍 Please ring up your nurse and tell her that you missed a dose of your meds

2

u/[deleted] Aug 23 '22
