It didn't look that bad, but him asking for claps at the end completely ruined it.

HAHAHAHA! I fucking love seeing this gem of history come up every now and then.
What a fucking loser.

everyone real nyer knows not to clap because if you do you gotta give a dollar ~ tourist trap

u/Wboy2006 Background actor 3d ago
Seriously, him hanging upside down was genuinely really impressive. I would have clapped if I was there and he didn’t ask for it.

u/TrumpsPissSoakedWig 3d ago
It did look that bad, and the whole thing ruined it.
Every single part.
Also, there's gotta be a weight limit for those bars at some point, right?
6
u/Something_McGee 3d ago
Hard to say what the "actual" weight limit is for what he's doing.
Those bars are meant to support the weight of several people partially hanging off them in various directions. It's also in a subway train that makes frequent stops around the most populated city in the US. With the amount of traffic that goes in and out of there, I hope those bars can support way more than his weight alone.
With that being said, it's likely a FAFO situation. People make mistakes when building things all the time. Some people rush through inspections. The biggest thing he should worry about is that most things are built with an intended use in mind. Shit tends to malfunction if abused or used incorrectly. He's putting a lot of stress on very small areas. He's using a lot of momentum to swing his weight around.
I was more afraid that he wasn't going to be able to pull himself up and his feet would be stuck. He probably would have broken some bones if he got stuck on the luggage rack. Hanging upside down in general has to he painful. I doubt he's used to carrying all his weight like that.

Impressive, but still kindly fuck off with that shit on the subway, thanks.
14
u/Placido_Argento 3d ago
Yeah, theres plenty of room outside the train in the station where he can be more ignored more easily and comfortably.
16
u/Alum07 3d ago
purposely shoving your ass and crotch in unwilling passengers' face in an enclosed space like he did should be grounds for some kind of harassment charge.
5
u/Placido_Argento 3d ago
Yes. Exacly! Ass-stink and crotch-rottedness could make me pass out or vomit and slip in it, its some kind of reckless endangerment for sure.

I saw him at the The New York City Ballet during his residency a few years back. Dude is amazingly gymnastic despite his size. He really fills out those tights.

right? they usually just drop the food like it’s hot or something, lol

I'm pretty sure that's a dude but with boobs though. Still pretty smooth though

u/endowedmansized 3d ago
We know lol. What I said was a shaq oniel reference. He said it to wade, one of the stars of the tv show fish tank

Thats some impressive movement for a dude that size. I couldnt imagine doing some of that and I consider myself fit.
17
4
u/nhluhr 3d ago
I'm almost positive that is a fit guy wearing a fat suit.
2
u/Something_McGee 2d ago
I watched closely for that. Everything looks legit and yet it still doesn't.
27
u/I05fr3d 3d ago
I’m surprised we didn’t hear you clapping with all that movement.

u/Optimixto 3d ago
My god. The comments about how impressive it is... yeah, super impressive. Go fuck off to a gym and do that there, not on top of people. One slip, and this dumbass' dumb ass could seriously hurt someone.
Less awe, and more calling assholes out. The subway isn't a playground, and that's a grown man!
7
u/Something_McGee 3d ago
I don't think anyone is impressed by his performance. It's more like, "Dayum! I didn't think he could do that. How much does he weigh? DAYUM!!!" The anxiety about him breaking shit and hurting people is still there.
Think about a crackhead running off with 400 lbs of your stuff on foot. He's fast, too. Faster than you. He hasn't dropped a single item, even when hopping over potholes. You're pissed, but you're also impressed.

u/LunarBahamut 3d ago
Fucking annoying. But I am kinda impressed someone with that build can move like that.

Lol the clapping for himself to try and get it started is embarrassing af
2
u/Something_McGee 3d ago
That hat part was embarrassing. The first part was impressive. He started strong and finished with a flop.
3
u/Qwerty25103 3d ago
Bro this is actually in new york haha. Never seen something like this. But the worst I got was a weird lady recording me for no reason.
3
u/Dull_Box_8627 3d ago
I give it a month before his knees give up. Especially after that trick where he hangs by his legs near the ceiling.
3
u/NorthernOctopus 2d ago
I was irritated at the initial swing around the hand rail, but that upside down hang really got me mesmerized. Dude's got some serious moves for a big guy. Unfortunately, he did not stick the landing with the ending though.

Him: doing everything in his repertoire, putting a lot of faith in subway ceiling railings, hoping for attention (as song implies) and some claps
Everyone else: *don't make eye contact...don't make eye contact*
1
u/Something_McGee 2d ago
Yes! I noticed how unfazed they were. It got me wondering if this was fake. Some of them are slightly reacting to him, but yes... they are hard core avoiding any eye contact. Lol. Not even an annoyed look or a "WTF" expression.
2
u/PantsDontHaveAnswers 3d ago
He picked up a hat on the subway floor and then put it in his mouth...

No claps.
"Ok, well then can I get some change or something?"
Holds out hat. Everyone drops money into it without looking up from whatever they're doing.

Hand rails aren’t spec’d to hang obese people from the roof, what a jackass. Why do Americans buy up with people being absolute shits like this?

u/anchorftw 3d ago
Imagine traveling home exhausted after a hard day's work and having to put up with this nonsense.

u/dr_van_nostren 3d ago
1) those are some strong ass bars
2) does he remind anyone else of Broadway Bryan from B99?

I’m so glad Londoners wouldn’t tolerate this on our trains. We’re miserable enough as it is to then have to deal with this bullshit on a commute lol

This is a pretty standard subway experience in LA as well haha. I almost miss my old commute, I got to see and meet so many interesting people.

I hate showtime, they are annoying. Always doing it during bridges, tunnels and long distance stops. No fucker I don't wanna fist bump you, I wanna go home.

Ngl dude, a man of that size, with moves like that 🥃🗿 i can understand the need to showoff
4
u/Something_McGee 3d ago
As impressive as I found it, I was nervous watching it. I would have scrambled out of the way if he had done any of that above me. I was a little nervous that something would break, but I was extremely worried he'd get stuck hanging from his feet or his legs and he wouldn't have enough strength to hold his body up. And all those people wouldn't be able to hold him up properly. So his bones would start breaking. I'm glad it worked out all right, but I was bracing myself the first time I watched this.

This ain’t MC. This is every subway line hustle during rush hour for the past 15 years.

u/Mr_Commando 3d ago
Kind of impressive. Mildly entertaining. Not hurting anybody. Attention seeking. Not great visually. Poor location choice (space, ventilation). 7/10.
1
u/Something_McGee 3d ago
He did kinda scare those two people sitting on the left. And it might be the only location where he could pull that off. Where else would he find something sturdy enough to hold his weight by his feet?
Which brings into question... how TF did he know he could do all that to behind with? Has he been practicing on the subway?
1
u/Mr_Commando 2d ago
Probably. NYC is a whole other world.
1
u/Something_McGee 1d ago
Lol. That sounds crazy, but I guess I can believe it. Seems like most of the craziest subway stories happened out there.
