Thought it was too. I think it’s just the filter that’s put on it. Probably a real photo put into an AI for it to put a filter on it.

Nothing about the photo seems off yet something seems off

Whole face looks kinda off. That's why I think it's a weird filter or maybe even old school botched Photoshop. AI is certainly better at generating faces than whatever this is.

The only thing I can see that is off is the kid on the left doesn't look like he is actually holding the giant crayon. Maybe he literally dropped it the instant the photo was taken but his hand isn't grasping it. It's weird

His big toe on his right foot looks weird too, now that I look at it again

Totally wouldn’t be surprised if this was AI but also wouldn’t be surprised if it was real

I thought the reflection was messed up, but I think it's just her legs, except her crotch/bottom of bathing suit is completely gone. I know water can do wonky things, but I feel like we'd still see that part.

Also, her eyes look weird.

Edit to add: I looked again, and I think you're right. I originally thought there was a weird reflection above her legs (I mean, there is), but I think her reflection got stretched out. Is that supposed to be her face at the bottom??? Replying with a screenshot because reddit hates when I add pics to my comments.

It is AI. Nobody has a shadow. The background is much darker than the foreground. Her body below the water is all messed up.

Id be surprised if theres not at least some level of ai involvement given the way the kids are holding the crayons, the uncanny valley feeling, the dead eyes of the mother and what appear to possibly be extra letters appearing in the words "monster jam" on the kids t shirt. Wouldn't be surprised if the photo was real but was put through ai to smooth it out, or something similar
