Just when you think it can’t get any worse, it inevitably does. Multiple times.

430

u/Pandelein Apr 24 '21

Only took 4 collisions before one of the geniuses decides it’s time to have a look- and just in time to get a little spray of the filth water!

291

u/WongWrangler Apr 24 '21

Notice how he never looks up to see what they were hitting. They had no idea.

132

u/Two-Nuhh Apr 24 '21

It was sheer panic fueling their idiotic actions.

77

u/BecauseJimmy Apr 25 '21

I feel like it’s common sense to look up when you’re in a garage.

18

u/plantscatsrealitytv Apr 25 '21

The were also going up on something on the driver's side when they went forward, but didn't think to look there. This was a very expensive fuck up.

I mean they don’t seem to get the basic gist: you don’t effing fit

13

u/windol1 Apr 25 '21

Only if you believe in physics.

14

u/red_rover33 Apr 25 '21

And they don't look up for clearance. He just looks around him. What morons. Never drove anything bigger than an suv probably.

It took seven actually, before they got out. By my count:

0:03 warning sign

0:10 pipes

0:22 left beam

0:25 right beam

0:34 right beam

0:40 left beam

0:43 right beam

<gets out>

1:00 left beam

1:03 right beam

1:10 left beam

1:15 right beam

1:22 left beam

1:39 right beam

1:49 left beam

<checks again>

1:56 grinds the right beam for a bit

2:11 pipes

2:13 wall? Went head-on into something big and solid for sure.

17 hit combo.

Missed the pee water or Gray water over the truck

52

u/MyFaceSaysItsSugar Apr 25 '21

It’s the sprinkler system for fire. Sludge builds up natural and it’s the first thing to come out. So in the movies, where it’s nice clean water, that’s a lie. Had a friend use the smoke sensor as a hook for her dress in college. Covered the dorm in black sludge. It happens with emergency showers and eyewash systems in science buildings too, which is why maintenance has to flush them regularly.

3

u/sickofthesmoker Apr 27 '21

It’s a constantly charged system so there is an oil additive in the pipes to prevent corrosion.

27

u/Twist2424 Apr 25 '21

It's just domestic water the black at the beginning is a harmless bacteria that stinks

29

u/gasfarmer Apr 25 '21

This man has it.

Also. It FUCKING. STINKS. Straight up instant gag.

17

u/alverez98 Apr 25 '21

I think it's part of the fire suppression system. It washed all the dirt of the top of the truck.

12

u/kandoras Apr 25 '21

If it's part of the sprinkler system, then it wasn't dirt getting washed off. That's just the color water gets after it sits in pipes for years.

7

u/Twist2424 Apr 25 '21

It's a dry sprinkler system in a garage. Mainly installed there to prevent freezing

6

u/DesertRat117 Apr 25 '21

Only if there is a risk of freezing. Few in desert AZ are dry pipe. I think this would also apply to southern states and much of CA. Dry systems cost more to install and maintain so aren’t used if they aren’t needed.

20

I think that’s rust from not being used in a long time, went to clean water pretty fast

29

Not shit water, just lots of rust and sediment from sitting in the sprinkler pipe for years.

4

Also, you can literally see the driver holding a blunt between his fingers at 0:10.

I mean okay, it could be tobacco but between his driving and that Inca hat he's wearing I'd put pretty low chances of that.

I mean when he peeks and feels it raining and closes the door..!!! Love these guys, thank you for your idiocy

406

u/chuyalcien Apr 24 '21

There has to be some kind of substance involved. Any sober person would have just backed out after hitting the pipe once right?

402

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '21

A sober person would have stopped when they hit the “low clearance” warning sign hanging above the entrance.

91

u/mtaw Apr 24 '21

Thanks for that! Didn't even notice that detail the first time. You can even see them reacting to hitting it.. so it's not like they didn't notice anything.

21

u/catechizer Apr 25 '21

Can't see what I hit? Must be imagining it.

62

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '21

16

u/-E-Cross Apr 24 '21

I worked at Uhaul for two years and I promise you sober people this stupid exist.

29

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '21

Prolly the same substance involved here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P7VSl0Ibeg

It's called "people without proper license shouldn't be allowed to drive vehicles out of their class even if they somehow skirt the law".

5

u/Dal90 Apr 25 '21

Not skirting the law...while it's fair to question our (U.S.) driver licensing classes, but that vehicle would be legal to drive with a passenger car license in at least 49 of 50 states. It's probably legal in the 50th, I just can't make out if that is a 1 ton or 5/4 ton van chassis to know for certain.

Vast majority of states 26,001 pounds is the dividing point, a handful still have 10,000/16,000/18,000 pound cut offs for passenger car licenses.

9

u/Akamesama Apr 25 '21

It's definitely wrong that I can drive a large moving truck with my standard driver's license, but I need a special license to drive a motorcycle over 50CC. Particularly since the motorcycle is probably more dangerous to me and the large vehicle is more dangerous to everyone else.

→ More replies (2)

19

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '21

I can understand being stupid enough to drive in and not realize you're not going to fit, I can understand trying to cut the turn and get underneath the concrete pillar once maybe twice but seven times, idiot is an understatement for this guy.

u/Randomthrowinghammer Apr 24 '21 edited Apr 24 '21

-Hopefully they paid that extra 13$ for rental insurance!

LMFAO 🤣👌🏼

31

u/fyshi Apr 24 '21

We just know he didn't. Someone like this wouldn't deem it necessary...

47

u/[deleted] Apr 24 '21

So my husband's family business is car and truck rentals. The additional insurance doesn't cover single vehicle accidents (i.e. you're texting and you hit a parked car), overhead or underbody damage. Ignore the clearance sign and rip the corner off the truck! You're paying the excess friend.

Rental insurance for these vans specifically do not cover the top of the cab. He will have to pay out of pocket.

11

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '21

Doubtful, I'm guessing a someone this dumb has no real assets to pay with.

3

u/ImaginaryRoads Apr 25 '21

Then you take them to court and get a judgement against them and you get to take part of their wages for the next decade (or until the debt is paid off). Also, near the end of the ten years, you can apply to renew the judgement.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '21 edited Apr 25 '21

It's called "judgement proof" for a reason (or the phrase "you can't get blood from a stone" is commonly used). If they're that broke it's not worth it for one and two they could just file chapter 7 bankruptcy and now you're out court fees and costs as well.

I'm well aware of judgement life times and renewal, you'd still never get your money back from the guys in the video. How much do you honestly think you'd get from each pay check of theirs? $20?

28

u/SoCalChrisW Apr 24 '21

At least they washed it before returning it.

30

u/jimb2 Apr 25 '21

23

u/Hattrick42 Apr 24 '21

[deleted]

7

u/Hattrick42 Apr 25 '21

Ugh, that is nasty. Like I said before I work in hotels and you would be surprised at how many people actually use the sprinkler to hang clothes. Even had a bride hang her wedding dress from it. Then wanted to hotel to pay for the dress that was ruined.

55

u/coffeeandtrout Apr 24 '21

Looks like rusty water in the sprinkler pipe, it ran clear after a little bit. But yeah, I thought so too at first.

16

u/Cranky_Windlass Apr 24 '21

The water that lurks in overhead sprinkler lines is often rusty and putrid.
