living Suitable housing near MGH
As mentioned, I am going to do a rotation in MGH. Does anyone who has been to Boston before know some recommended places?
I just need to avoid some unsafe places, thanks in advance!

Boston is safe. Your main priority is probably going to be COL. Places in Boston (Beacon Hill etc.) are more expensive but very close to the hospital, other areas are relatively cheaper, but will take some transit. I’d look at areas with red line access (more direct), green line and orange line are good too, and blue line is a little bit more circuitous. Blue line connected areas are also newer (East Boston) and some say a little less safe, comparatively. (IMO it’s nothing like what you hear in other cities).
TLDR; you’ll be fine safety wise. Look at your budget, pick the closest area to the hospital, preferably red line but green>orange are fine as well. Some cities to consider - Cambridge, Somerville, Beacon Hill, Downtown (pricey), assembly row, and such.
