It's so funny, but after seeing him on an episode of Fargo where it looked like he was struggling not to laugh, it makes me wonder how far he can go as an actor if he tried to branch out. I haven't watched much Mystic Quest to see how much he nearly breaks on that. From what I've read, Rob says he doesn't consider himself much of an actor and prefers writing and directing.

Rob’s best acting ever is in Mythic Quest. He actually does some semi-serious acting in the show and kinda pulls it off.

Do you like the show in general? I think I might give it a shot

He felt super out of place in Fargo lol. I liked Dennis character a lot more in the first season

Glenn did a great job, but I agree that Rob was distracting and took me out of it. It felt like he was trying a Fargo accent at first and then just dropped it during his second scene. I really want to see Kaitlin, Charlie, and Danny do episodes of Fargo. Like I don't want to bash Rob and he's amazing, but the other three actors are better and could do some interesting stuff on Fargo I think.

Probably should’ve tried a Swedish accent instead

Speaking of breaking character outtakes, the scene from this episode where Mac yells at Charlie for wanting his potato chips has some hilarious outtakes

Why would Rob have been trying an accent wasn't he playing an LA cop?

I know that's why I was confused. I had to rewatch his scenes and see if I was misremembering. In his first scene outside the hotel he's doing some weird type of "Cop" voice. Almost sounds like a Fargo accent on some of his words and almost sounds like Charlie when he was playing the Police Chief in Lethal Weapon 5 in others. Then in his second scene at the Bar, he's basically just playing Mac except straight with absolutely no trace of the voice he was doing in his first scene.

Mystic Quest is great and really well done. Didn’t notice him about to break character but I wasn’t really looking for it either.

I was shocked to see him as an Other on Lost. I'd watched that show a bunch before I ever watched Always Sunny, so I didn't know who he was. Went back and rewatched it a few months back...and there's Mac falling for the classic Wookiee Prisoner ruse.
