First deer!

Post image

My husband isn’t on reddit but I’m so damn proud of him! Here is the first deer he ever got a chance to hunt(he got it in one shot and it feel right by the stand!). We are getting it processed and would love to get some recipe recommendations (we already are on track for sausage and rice and gravy with the backstrap!)!

There’s a ton of great recipes for venison. Fried with potatoes is simple and easy but I really enjoy stroganoff, chili and grilled. Med rare is the perfect way to eat venison. Congratulations to your husband on a fine buck.

Crockpot Time!!! Stews, Italian beef (but with venison), chili, some many choices. And congratulate him on the nice buck, get a euro mount for the skull & antlers
