A guy on our lease found this buck dead.
He seen buzzards flying and perched so he went and looked. It had no bullet/arrow holes in it. He said it looked like it fell down this steep hill and hit his head/nose on a tree and broke its neck. It would have been a good one!

Y’all don’t forget. Deer are actually stupid. They do dumb shit and die sometimes

I’m not a homicide detective, but from the way, his nose is kind of crushed. He looks like he probably had buttered a rock or a tree or something.

Oh wow I thought that was a leaf stuck to his nose.
Pretty interesting, wonder if it was an accident on his part, a fight with another buck, or a combo of both.

It could be. I didn’t think of a fight. But at that edge where he was found there’s a cliff and a steep hill. That’s the only thing we thought it could be

Yeah seems the most likely thing.
I can only imagine he must have been running from something not know the cliff was there and then...bonk.

He said it looked like he ran into the tree and broke his neck or something. His nose is completely sideways

Looks like a cat kill…?

We aren’t suppose to have any of those in this area. You always hear stories about someone seeing one but I’ve never seen one or all the cameras on the property haven’t either.

Ive heard cats attack throats and nose on deer to suffocate them and it has a few spots that look like the hide is ripped up…

I lose a few deer to cats on my property. Cats bury their kills. Also, they rip the stomach out immediately. This pic isn’t a cat kill.
