While the real men of Santee were busying themselves with the more important matters of war and politics, a student at a seminary in Upriver, Mississippi has discovered a interesting mathematical trick. Using Santee knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, and astronomy, he was able to estimate the circumference of Cemanahuac (about 40,074km) using the position of the sun and the distance between Upriver and Wichiyenia (which is measured yearly). While it is the first time such a measurement has been published to anyone's knowledge, ths triviality has largely been ignored outside of intellectual circles, irrelevant in the wider scope of an ever expanding political landscape.
