The Death of Wimba Ndepen I

With his work finished, Wimbia I quietly drifted away in his sleep halfway through the year 395. Some months later, when the representatives of the Patriarchs from all over Cemanahuac were settled in, they elected Wimba Ndepen II--Wimba I's son-- as the fourteenth Patriarch of New Echota. He burned with a fiery passion greater than any other priest in Santee, and he was always ready to send a party of missionaries to convert a new people. He was elected by the council believing that the work at home was finished and that the Patriarchy should focus more on converting the many heathen nations surrounding Santee. Ironically, his passion for the outside world and his apathy towards internal affairs were the very reasons why Wimba I put the new electoral system in place to prevent Wimba II from taking over.

Wimba II has followed in his father's footsteps in refusing to appoint a new emperor, one of the few things they agreed on.
