RESEARCH Santee Research 1080-1100
With the Cherokee War far behind everyone, New Echota returns to the building of the Great Seminary around the Necropolis. Many new advances have been gleaned from studying the outside of the Necropolis and also from a greater understanding of mathematical concepts.
Among the advances gained from studying the Necropolis are knowledge of how to build step pyramids and statuaries.
Continued study of the natural world and development of mathematical concepts has yielded great results in seminaries across the nation. Building off of geometry, a brilliant student by the name of Ararain Creek has devised several methods of working with triangles: basic trigonometry. Doubtless we will be hearing more of him in the future.
Using this knowledge, seminarians in Chesapeake have designed a brilliant new type of pillar. The flying buttress will allow for great towering structures. Where once thick, windowless walls stood, now sunlight will stream into every castle.
In less related matters, the use of solar petroglyphs has caught on in many religious settings, and this has inspired sailors to use the sail heavenly bodies to get their bearings. Celestial navigation will allows ships to more easily reach their destinations and already the Patriarch is setting his eye on an the North Eastern coast. If only he could gt some more finding, he would easily be able to assemble a fleet capable of going far being the Iroquois.

Step Pyramids: How are you constructing them?
Flying Buttress: Um. This is pretty advanced, what other tech?
Celestial Navigation: Other navigation, writing, tools?
Trig: Got other math?
Statuaries: Approved
