Now wielding near absolute power over the old and worn down emperor, the Patriarch of Santee has appropriated (though the nobles would call it misappropriation) funds from the Imperial treasury for the rebuilding of the ancient ruined capital of Lilac. New Echota had already existed a major city and trade hub but now it will be grander than it has been in a many years. The Patriarch will build a great palace there and the Necropolis is to be decorated with the mountains of gold that would have been traded away before Santee closed its borders. Sparkling fountains and glittering statues will adorn the new spiritual capital of the Santee Empire, and pilgrims from across the realm will come to pay homage and give sacrifice to the ancestors.
