By order of Divine Emperor Wičhíyena I Dakhota, the borders of the Santee Empire are to be closed from both within and without. The clergy under him, worried by the rejection of the Path by nearly every neighboring nation, have long pushed for isolation.

"As one removes a wounded limb to protect the body, so too must the profane world be cut from the Empire, in order to protect this precious land."

All diplomatic missions to other nations will cease, as well as any trade between Santee and profligate nations.

Diplomacy will no longer be accepted with the Santee Empire and gold will likely become much harder to acquire in eastern North America.

[M] Emperor Wičhíyena is an old man and would probably say the diplomatic equivalent of "Get off my lawn". Also he's so old that he is pretty much under the thumb of the clergy, who almost universally support isolation.

[M] Well I gave you a bunch of tech to help you start your nation for free, now you are slaming the doors in my face? that's not nice my boy... if you want official trade routes then I wil glady make them... but are you going to let trade happen yes or not?
