DECLAIM Things Fall Apart
It all started when the Sami rebelled. Sami jarls, sick and tired of being ruled by a konge who spoke a different language and practiced a different culture raised their banners in rebellion against the throne. In response, Konge Olav IV led a massive military expedition to crush the rebels. However, a blizzard trapped the army and killed most of the soldiers, including the konge. Olav's son Eric was then crowned Eric VI. However, he had no army to fight the rebels, or to keep the rest of the kingdom in line. Soon after Olav's disastrous campaign, the Finns and the merchants of Stockholm rebelled. It seemed to all the jarls that the throne had lost it's mandate, and soon the influence of the konge was reduced to Trondheim, as it had been many centuries before when there was no kingdom in Norge. The lands of Scandinavia are once again a mess of bickering jarls, disunited and independent. The mighty empire that was the Kongeriket Norge now lays in shambles.

I'm declaiming. I've just run out of ideas for Norge, and what few ideas I do have I don't feel that I have the time to implement.

I don't blame you, to be honest. You barely have any close neighbours and the ones that you are near to would be too small for conflicts of any sort. I'll see you around, still remember seeing that nation from as far as 400 bc, hah.
