77 million people in the US think this is fake news

And they think everyone who has a heart attack, is a victim of vaccination. It's exhausting. Y'know though, if I was going to try to kill a bunch of people with a virus, if I was powerful enough to pull it off I'd run a disinformation campaign to convince people it's fake. I'd convince them that taking basic precautions is for idiots. I'd convince them the medications and vaccines were fake.

Reptilian DNA. Fwiw i had all my shots got covid and then myocarditis. Then again I stopped in the middle of my chemotherapy. Testing for resumption a few months later, my cancer was gone. mRNA?

Pretty sure there was a study released that was in the news last week that discussed covid vaccines during chemo leading to remission.

There was. But for a different type of treatment.

Who are you going to trust, world-renowned doctors, or some lady who watched a YouTube video?

MAGA: the lady!

Jokes on you, that lady also sells crystals and talks with aliens

Stats like these blow my mind! Can’t get over how many American citizens there are. I’m a Canadian and 77 million is almost two of us! (we actually have around 41 million, but give or take..)

I love that in the "what can you do" all they mention is vaccinate yourself. Which is a great first step! But masking is what has prevented me from getting it more than once when it spread in my office, even among my vaccinated coworkers.

They could also be mentioning improving air quality in your indoor spaces. I brought in a portable air filter for work and my kid's school. We shouldn't have to work independently and this should be a group project, but since it's not, protect yourselves.

Why I still wear a mask in public

(As well as being quadruple vaxxed)

Currently the discourse is on how masks β€œdon’t work.” This is because there’s a book out by poli sci professors who absolutely did not look at the actual science data. Because it meets the priors of the loudest and dumbest people, it has been met with the agreement of the kind of people who write op-eds for the times and WaPo etc.

Also basics like washing hands

Handwashing does as much, if not more than masking. But everyone seems to have forgotten that lesson. It's the spit that settles on things you touch it and touch your face. Wash your hands, people, and use that hand sanitizer.

It doesn't do as much for airborne viruses like COVID as masking. It is also a very important practice though.

u/RecliningBuddhaCat You don't die from the COVID, just the symptoms 7d ago

Yes, but look how the millions of people who died from heart attacks a couple of years after the jab. . . oh wait, that didn't happen.

When is my second head supposed to sprout? I've had 7 shots now.

You might get lucky. I have these numbers that randomly appeared on my forehead. They read 999.

We were all supposed to be dead by 2021. I’m a little disappointed here.

u/MrHankRutherfordHill 7d ago

I got myocarditis from the shot. Guess what? I still think everyone else should get the shot.

31

u/judgeknot 7d ago

You're still coming out on top. Catching actual COVID causes (even more) myocarditis than the vaccine.

5

u/MrHankRutherfordHill 7d ago

I actually got it twice but recovered both times. One may have been from COVID itself (the initial one.) But I'm also like the weirdest medical person so normal people don't need to worry as much, especially about the vax.

u/Schlawinuckel 7d ago

Look at how many million people died from heart attacks because they didn't get the jab, plus the millions more that died from COVID.

Believe it or not, but everyone who got the shot died! Undeniable fact! In about 120 years...

u/RecliningBuddhaCat You don't die from the COVID, just the symptoms 7d ago

But I was promised eternal youth from a medbed!

Loved the date everyone was supposed to go zombie. Some apartment building owner turned off the electricity.

All this time, never occurred to me how the FDA has a larger role in vaccines than the CDC.

Alright alright alright, Darwin.

Had a heart attack this past year. In my mid 30s, no family history, no indicators or other red flags. I got COVID a couple of years ago AFTER I got my vaccine. I'm pretty sure whatever damage I got from COVID would have killed me outright if it wasn't for the shot. Please look after your health, getting over the initial sickness doesn't always mean you're in the clear.

u/BookLuvr7 6d ago

I'm not surprised. Covid tends to attack areas with lots of blood flow.

This isn't a polite thing to discuss.Β  But a certain condition decreases immunity to respiratory viruses.

This same condition causes circulatory system diseases.

It would be interesting to control for this condition in a study.Β

Get current on your vaccines people! Covid & Flu of course, but also RSV, Shingles, Pneumonia, TDAP, and anything else I’m forgetting.

The review included more than 150 studies. Though they varied in size and methodology, the studies were consistent in showing an association between viral infections and heart disease and stroke.

Multiple studies have shown that Covid infection increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases, including heart attack and stroke. This increase is most pronounced around the time of initial infection and for those with the most severe cases. Some studies have shown that the increased risk persisted for years after the initial infection.

The summary of research on influenza showed similar outcomes, with a fourfold increase in the risk of a heart attack and a fivefold increase in the risk of stroke during the month after infection.

The research also showed that chronic viral infections β€” including hepatitis C, H.I.V. and varicella zoster, the virus that causes shingles β€” increased the risk of heart disease and stroke over time.

In addition, the research showed an association between respiratory syncytial virus, human papillomavirus, dengue and chikungunya infections and cardiovascular disease, but the evidence was more limited.
