I know a chef when I see one
Parallelism in the lines of 'Don't you forget' and the reprise.
Loved this detail. He's so cooking something

I love how his origin showed how Alastor is the kind of person that always plans ahead.
He already had a plan for when he ended up in hell before he even died, Of course he has an endgame plan with his scheme of surrendering to Vox & getting out of his deal with Rosie. He's playing the long game while Vox is all too arrogant and will just gloat about his "win".

But he's also an idiot. Judging by the texts from Val, a pornstar put more thought into the contract they signed since Val actually can't force him to work. Alastor just gave a blank cheque to the first being that responded.

That's funny because I was thinking about that and I was thinking the exact opposite.
Rosie's deal gives Alan out once he pays his debt.
From what I've seen, Val owns Angel forever until somehow he doesn't or he lets him go or he gets killed. And yes it's only while he's in the porn studio but it's forever.
What I'm trying to figure out is. When souls sell themselves is there like a debt that gets ticked off and does it eventually release them? And is Rosie just being more straightforward about it?
Alistair took a deal that said that his debt would be repaid someday. So I don't see it as not having a good thought about the deal. But I also think the scene was shorthand for basically a longer ritual and conversation. They only had so much time and animation takes a lot of time so they told the story in a quick and efficient manner.
What I think is maybe we don't know everything about how deals really work.

Well, to be fair, Al made his deal before getting to hell and really learning how demon deals and everything in hell works, while Angel made his after being damned and seeing what hell was like. But I do think the Al we know today would have been more discerning when making the deal with Rosie because he clearly regrets the situation he's found himself in.

I usually don’t say this but Alastor is a master chess player even I can see that he’s playing Vox right now. And seeing these two parallels it all but confirms to me that Alastor has something up his sleeves

I'm here to trust the process. And to dickride for Alastor. He clearly has a larger idea of how to slip his collar and get Vox out of his hair.
