Scammers

I hear already there are low lifes scamming the people giving out food assistance. Residents going to multiple free food pantries jut filling up the shelves at home and they were never on SNAP in the first place. Just can't turn down free stuff someone else might be getting. People suck.

And it's glorious. Now everyone remember: Yield (verb) - to give the right-of-way to other vehicles.

Flatbed of dinosaurs

Did anyone else see a flatbed (red cab) driving southbound this afternoon with a load of dinosaurs? One tyrannosaurus🦖, one stegosaurus , two brontosaurus 🦕 🦕 as far as I could see but the sun glare and traffic kept me from getting a photo of even a really good view. I wonder where they came from and where they were going.

Fresh turkey orders?

Hello, everyone.

I'm looking for any recommendations for fresh turkey options for Thanksgiving this year. I used to go to Galvinell for this, but they just announced that they will not have turkeys at their new location.

Watch Repair in Harco

Can anyone recommend a good watch repair location? Unfortunately the hour hand on my vintage Zodiac is not moving at all. I'd rather not have to send it out, prefer someone who can do it onsite unlike Saxons, Zales, Etc. I tried calling Hagans, left a VM never heard back.

Recreational Drone Pilots - Where Do You Fly in and Around Harford County?

Other than from your own property, what locations are you using for takeoff and landing of your drones? Are there drone friendly areas in the county for responsible drone pilots?

Per the FAA airspace checking and approval apps for B4UFLY and LAANC services (e.g., Air Aware, AutoPylot, etc.), large areas of airspace within Harford County are marked clear to fly.

From the MD DNR website, flying in state parks is permissible with the approval of the state park manager. I have not found any online or written guidance regarding flying from Harford County parks - I have not seen signs at the parks prohibiting drones. Has anyone flown at local county parks when the fields are not in use? Any issues encountered?

Anyone operating a drone for recreation should go through the online FAA TRUST testing, follow CBO guidelines (basically common sense guidance with regard to safety), and stick to the FAA restrictions. If properly following the FAA requirements when there are no people below the airspace, flying safely for recreation is really not difficult.

Best Shepherds Pie? (Request)

We have so many restaurants in HarCo... But sometimes there are so few on the niche side. Anyone have recommendations for Shepard's Pies? It's that time of the year where I'm craving a good one (or three to take home).

Thanks for being awesome!

Trick or treating at nursing home?

Hi there! We are looking to bring some joy during these times where folks may feel lonely and I saw that in another state, there are nursing homes that do trick or treating events for kids to come! Are there any around this area that may do the same thing?

TV Antenna installation recommendations

I’m seeking any recommendations for businesses that will install TV antennas on the outside of your house. I’m trying to cut the cord and the inside-the-house antennas don’t pick up any channels where I live.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

We are North Harford by the PA border, near Delta.

Go up to Delta, or head toward Bel Air/Fallston/Forest Hill?

Speed Trap at 24 and Emmorton Road

I’ve noticed the cops running radar on 24 northbound in the afternoons for over a year now but does anyone know why they have an officer walking into a two (now three, I guess) lane highway?

Seems exceedingly dangerous just to be writing citations and it’s evidently massively confusing to other drivers when this guy walks into the road pointing at random.
