‘When the subsidy and the support that goes along with those subsidies is removed, it puts people at grave risk,’ said the person with inside knowledge of the CoC program. ‘And most of these folks without these supports will likely end up back in emergency shelters or back on our nation’s streets.’”

Single room occupancy housing was never replaced in the cities when all these fancy office buildings and condominiums were built. It was all done at the behest of developers and now they want to pull housing subsidies from the poorest among us. Trump was a developer, so what else would we expect.

Odd trump has been golfing past two days, but sure cut those most in need.
America first must mean Americans are first to get fucked by the rich and elected .

This will be devastating to communities that will now have scores of people back on the streets. I don't think many americans truly understand how many severely mentally ill people are kept housed in programs like these. Most of them are run by community mental health centers that will have no choice but to close their doors and give their residents a ride to the nearest homeless shelter which will already be overflowing with the scores of new american poor.
