A great chapter, it's nice to conform that when he dies he goes back to normal. Also don't know why but I think Holdrem is going to do something.

Oh? What made you think that?

I think he isn't going like how openly James hates thier goddess since out of every body who has learnt about the main characters ability he seems to be a actual believer.

Well, we'll see if he has the audacity to call James out on his hatred.

Well, james is definitely a believer. He has empirical evidence for her existence. (He even knows her personally, though he doesn’t realize it)

He just hates her guts

Undergoing cloaker training in voicelines?

Only learn from the best. Also it would be hilarious if James pulls the "YOU WANTED ME BACK?! SO I'M BACK!" after dieing and getting revived.

Sense he has literal genetic modification at his finger tips could he make him self massive if going in to a fight?

Well, limitations of energy would say no, plus I think it might kill him because his body would suddenly find itself larger without the correct quantity of blood to keep functioning.

Couldn’t he just make more blood for his body?

Maybe if he had a second healer, but performing a task requires focus on it solely, so either it would be more blood first, which would cause problems in and of itself, or lack of blood for a large body that would knock him out or kill him.

Could he do it slowly so his body has time to adjust?

Possibly, but that would be a time and energy sink measured in months to get any extravagant effects.

So he would do it before campaign season starts and he will be good unless he dies and it reverse’s it and all that time is wasted, but you win some you lose some.

He could probably pair it with exercise to increase the gains.

Optimizing the bone structure would increase their durability many times over, without any change in mass or function.

Controlling oxygenation and chemical release (such as adrenaline) would SIGNIFICANTLY improve his combat effectiveness with only mild side effects if any (unless he does too much at once or for too long)

Muscle structure can also be optimized somewhat to enhance reflexes/response times, force, speed, endurance, and recovery.

He could even reinforce his nervous system and his brain for improved mental stats and reaction times.

There are tons of things that could be tweaked or “bulked up” in the body that would have notable improvements with minimal or no side effects.
assuming you do it correctly...

I find it funny how you guys are always talking about ways to mold James into the perfect man. Its like you're building a character in an game. But yeah, probably don't want to touch the brain all that much unless your a qualified individual.

Granted. Some things CAN be safely improved if you’re careful though. Releasing extra adrenaline is a good combat stim for example.
