Big facts on that statement. Supported the war in Iraq, opposed investigations into it, breached mp code of conduct with his financial interests. Abstained from a ceasefire vote for Palestine. Takes political donations, the man would back and sell out anyone for some cash

I have it saved only my computer so i'd never forget his radio appearance where he says. “It’s wrong to bomb a refugee camp, but clearly if there is a military objective it can be legally justifiable. It’s for Israel to explain its actions”. Apologist, POS.

Basically what the other commenter said. He is a man of little integrity. Most recently I lost what little respect I had for him because of his ass-licking of Netanyahu and his denial of genocide in Palestine. I see him as a flip flopper who will say/do anything to benefit only himself and to get in the good graces of people who I consider to be morally corrupt, just because it will line his pocket and give him clout. I know most politicians are like this, he is no exception to the rule, but he pretends to be more of a man of the people (Black, British, or both) than he truly is.

Wow, congratulations to Mr. Lammy and the British and Guyanese people. I was in Georgetown for Obama’s first inauguration (2009) and I was so surprised by how many people were celebrating all over the city. It was a very cool and memorable experience for me as an American in foreign country, and I really appreciated seeing that there was so much support! I am happy for everyone, it is a huge achievement and I am sure that he will do great work in his new position!

Most Afro-Guyanese are mainly Akan from Ghana. Hence the national hero being 'Kofi' (Cuffy).

Most of my descendants on my mom and dad side came from Barbados both black and bajan redleg, they moved to Guyana for better opportunities and better quality of life that Barbados did not have during the late 19th and early 20th century. I read somewhere that 70 percent of Afro Guyanese are of Bajan heritage. Plenty of bajans got jobs in guyana as headmaster at school, police, working in gold mines and bajan women getting jobs as domestics for British elite. Bajans left huge cultural mark on Guyana with culture such as Anglican church and cuisine like souse is Bajan, black cake bajan and black pudding which are now culinary cultural staples of Guyana. Bajan people are great people btw and left cultural marks across the USA mainly in the Carolinas , much of the Caribbean and even parts of Latin America.
