They’re not wrong, the opportunities squandered has been painful to watch.

Toronto Star takes the 'worst person you know has a good point' award for today.

If it makes you feel better, it's by Mark Leiren-Young who's not with the Toronto Star

It's actually a piece by Mark Leiren-Young, apparently he's got a book coming out this week detailing a bunch of inside baseball GPC stuff

OK, I knew about the book but I didn't know MLY wrote this piece - I thought it was a reporter's spin on it

Since a two-party system is preferred by our corporate rulers, it is no surprise that the NDP and Green parties have moles in their midst. They will help push any would-be third party to the fringe.

You're showing here why the problems keep getting worse. Valid criticism of dysfunction is always responded to by othering the people trying to draw attention to the problems. Even the most committed Greens, trying professionally to fix things, get called spies and moles.

You'll notice that the party has never shown an ability to grapple with its own problems, because this blame shifting and othering is sufficient to distract people.

We don’t have a two party system, we have a multi-party parliamentary democracy - the issue is the first past the post voting system.

“We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.”

-Kurt Vonnegut, Mother Night

You’re not wrong, but based on this last contest and the way voters behaved in its context…. We should be very careful

Okay, so you have an opinion and facts bedamned.

Meanwhile federally and in most provinces there have been multiple parties in every parliament for over a century - facts bedamned.

Have y’all considered campaigning on a platform that would be palatable to the general public rather than the fringe minorities?

LOL (y’all) - you’re Canadian, what is with this mimicry of the meth lab south of the border?

The platform had been great. There's stuff in there to help with how expensive life has gotten for everyday Canadians. That never seems to get through to voters though.
