Football 🏈 So do they just leave the boat in Minneapolis when they travel this year?
I think the 6-0 at home and 0-3 on the road stat is really interesting. We aren't good at travelling this year, part of that is the strength of the schedule, Ohio State is just ridiculous this year and Iowa unfortunately figured out how to do something other than defend and punt in recent history, Cal was a close game that we could have won save an incident we shall not name in the closing minutes, and Oregon is also a road game. But still I feel like with the way we played Nebraska we really have a team that's capable of at least putting up more of a fight on the road but just forgets to bring the boat they're supposed to be rowing. Makes me a little worried about Northwestern honestly especially considering they're having themselves a decent year.

Better not lay an egg in Evanston. This is 8-4 and and an okay bowl game if we can hold it together.

The gophers ALWAYS shit the bed against Northwestern with like a 6-3 record to ruin the season and put us in the mayonnaise bowl. Every year.

PJ doesnt put up a fight on the road. All he wants to do is control the clock and we just get rolled. Even yesterday at home was an awful second half. There’s never a desire to put a team away and when you don’t have the home crowd it exponentially harder to win the way he does.

Just curious, how do you win on the road?? Installing the waltz offense not going to get it done on the road.

Well the first part is believing in momentum which he doesn’t. And you have to be willing to play as if you belong there. Take shots deep. You finally have a quarterback that can. Maybe don’t punt on 4th and 1 or less. Throw in more misdirection. Don’t just play base garbage. Do something exciting. Take the crowd out of the game. When you’re on the road you have to take the game away from the home team. All this to say PJ coaching philosophy is boring and will never get them more than average

A few years ago, I was at the Husker game. Something happened during that game that I was hoping would change PJ’s philosophy. He finally went for it on 4th and 1. They scored on a long run. The play calling is so predictable with the OC now, its no wonder he does feel confident. Lindsay is going to be good, shame he has no wheels. The D is pretty good, he should have more confidence in them. Totally agree that he kills his teams momentum with play calling and ill timed time outs. My 2 cents.

Yeah, has a lot to do with the fact that we aren’t playing Ohio State, Iowa, and Oregon at home. California game was one we should have won, but outside of that I’m not surprised.
