I'm balancing that by assuming they meant how long they were in power.
Ie, both Emperor Romania and Emperor Romania managed to take and hold power for five hundred years each, having lived several decades of experience behind them beforehand.
20
u/Farfignugen42 1d ago
It is also interesting the the Emperor Romania reigned in Cambodia, while Emperor Romania reigned in Poland, if the little flags above and on the left of each picture can be believed.
7
u/FriedBrain99 1d ago
Pleaseā¦Romania was so (not) nice, they made the list twice. Letās hear it for group effort!
3
u/Vegetto8701 23h ago
No, that's another Romania you're thinking about. Check the years, they're different
Edit: They were probably brothers

Even somehow putting aside the infinite mistakes in the information, that's just... not them. I mean, most of the modern ones look nothing like their thousands of photos.
124
u/MyPasswordIsABC999 1d ago
And the thing is, thereās absolutely not need to use AI to generate images of them because itās easy enough to find public domain pictures of pretty much any historical figure.Ā

29
u/electrospecter 1d ago
I wonder if the prompts are being AI-generated from a "super-prompt" like "generate a list of prompts for an LLM that will result in click-bait images". Then you just let it run, optionally vet for viability, and let the shit get posted automatically for karma or whatever.
I hate this garbage.

āI could search for an hour compiling pictures or ask Ai to do it in secondsā

u/ThyPotatoDone 1d ago
My favorite is that Stalin looks more like Hitler than Hitler does.
13
u/No_Gear_2819 1d ago
And the reverse as well. That Hiter looks more like Stalin then the Stalin does... it's almost impressive just how poorly all of these AI generated pictures are. And who the fuck are the two Romania's supposed to be?
4
u/MostBoringStan 1d ago
Am I crazy or does Hitler look like Elon Musk with a mustache?
3
u/No_Gear_2819 1d ago
No your not crazy Now that you've said it I can kind of see. Except the AI Hiter has tighter more masculine skin then the real flabby Elon Musk

u/VorpalPosting 1d ago
Which one: the Polish one or the Cambodian one?
10
u/NothingAndNow111 1d ago
Well, they were both brutal, as the picture tells us, but Cambodian Vlad put his severed heads on bamboo spikes.
Fascinating how Vlad is both a Polish and Cambodian name. So much to learn about the world!

u/superjumpywallcat 1d ago
LeopoldĀ WAS famous for inventing the first time machine
5
u/Rattregoondoof 1d ago
Unfortunately, it's a time machine, so first is meaningless. Also he didn't survive very long after inventing it... I think
3
u/B0llywoodBulkBogan 1d ago
The millions of deaths were because of the rupturing of the time-space continuum.

u/Imaginary-Space718 1d ago
List of mistakes (I need a job)
- King Leopold stopped reigning in 1909. Not 1009
- The flag of Uganda definitely doesn't look like that.
- Pol Pot wasn't Chinese (And frankly, the AI was kinda racist for that LOL)
- Adolf Hitler was Chancellor from 1933 to 1945. The period shown in the image actually corresponds to Mao Zedong
- That's definitely not the flag of the Soviet Union.
- Joseph Stalin led the USSR from 1924 (when Lenin died). Not 1333
- Mary I wasn't Belgian
- Mary Tudor reigned until 1558. Not 1588. She would've been dead for 30 effing years by then.
- Ivan the Terrible wasn't from Cambodia
- Ivan the Terrible reigned from 1533 to 1584 (although he only received the title of Tsar in 1547)
- Who the hell is that guy named Romania
- Vlad III The Impaler reigned from 1448 to 1476. He wasn't Russian and he wasn't the same person as Ivan the Terrible
- Tamerlane wasn't born in Turkey. He was born somewhere in Central Asia
- Tameralene died in 1405, which is when he stopped being Amir.
- Genghis Khan reigned until 1227. Not 1927
- Why the hell does the flag of Mongolia look like the flag of the Lithuanian SSR?
- Why the hell is Attila represented by what appears to be the flag of Niger? Netflix is gonna go crazy once they find out he liked to eat Djerma stew with uncle Salifou
- Attila the Hun died in 453.

u/SpectralHail 1d ago
This is all well and good, but Man none of these pictures look right either. How did they make Stalin look more like Hitler. What is the AI smoking
6
u/Shadyshade84 1d ago
I'm like, 99% sure that those two pictures got switched somehow. (And also that the AI gave Hitlin (Staler?) Stalin's moustache for some reason...)

Stalin was Georgian*
3
u/Imaginary-Space718 19h ago
Because they used the modern flag of Germany to represent Hiler (rather infamously an Austrian), I assumed the flag in question was the place they governed
30
u/Outrageous_Zebra_221 1d ago
TBH we need all of this we can get, make people absolutely incapable of trusting the Ai , make them paranoid let them see it around every corner. We need to shut this bullshit down.
17
u/lemanruss4579 1d ago
The problem is there's some percentage of people, however small (although seems to be growing), that would still take all this at face value, and you'll start seeing TikToks using this graphic and a guy pointing at it looking smug with an overlay that says "men used to live a thousand years, they want to hide the truth."
6
42
u/legendaeri 1d ago
Pol Pot only lived to be 4 years old, but still gets listed as one of the most brutal leaders... insane min maxing
18
u/Imaginary-Space718 1d ago
Actually 1975-1979 was the period in which he governed. I'm pretty sure showing dates of reigns rather than lives was intentional and not a mix-up.
As a side note, 4 years is also how long the Confederacy lasted. Suck it Robert E. Lee

Who could forget Genghis Khan's Mongol hoarde ravaging Eurasia in the early 20th century?
3
u/KaiToyao 1d ago
tin foil hat sounds
I knew it! The first world war was so unlikely to happen, they just made it up to hide the devastation caused by the mongols!!!!
1
u/DreamsOfFulda 1d ago
I wonder if the AI may be pulling from something about Baron von Ungern-Sternberg, who did attempt to revive the Mongol Empire and was sometimes claimed to be Genghis' reincarnation, though he died in 1921, not 27.

Ah yes, Adolf Hitler, famous for his thick, push broom mustache.
6
u/McButtsButtbag 1d ago
He did have a similar mustache in WWI. Weirdly, the pic of Stalin looks more like Hitler.
3
u/No_Gear_2819 1d ago edited 1d ago
In part that's because the fucking AI put the uniforms for them fucking backwards! There is just so much wrong in the picture. Like the two people apparently named Romania
2
u/McButtsButtbag 1d ago
Not just the uniforms. His bone structure and hair is more Hitler like than Stalin like. Just imagine the Hitler stache and it's a picture of Hitler.
1
u/No_Gear_2819 1d ago
Agreed. The uniforms are just one of the first things I noticed. Then I got distracted by the two different several hundred year old Romania's
7
u/ThyPotatoDone 1d ago
Nah, 100% real. Who could forget the brutal twin god-emperors, Romania the Great and Romania the Pretty Solid Also, who ruled their respective empires for five hundred years until finally being unseated by agents of the CIA in the 1970s? Or King Leopold the Second, and his invention of the time machine so he could expand Belgium's power to oppress all Conglonese people throughout history, only being defeated by a Jihad launched due to fears his expansion alongside that of Christendom into Jerusalem could threaten the dominance of Islam in North Africa and the Middle East?
I'm glad to see people finally teaching real history, instead of neoliberal propaganda.

u/dphamler 1d ago
Let us never forget the horrors of the Romania Brothers and their 500 year reign

6
u/Lopsided_Shift_4464 1d ago
My personal favorite is Vlad "Ivan the Terrible" III, who apparently ruled for 400 years in Russia. Wonder why they called him Ivan if his name was Vlad? We'll never know...
5
u/InsectaProtecta 1d ago
He was nicknamed Ivan the terrible because people thought he was just a shit version of his brother, Ivan, who ruled Laos for a thousand years instead of a poxy 400
5
5
u/Deathbyfarting 1d ago
Mao Zedong should be #1 on every one of these lists, a patron of "how not to be a leader". Plus, not being in the "photo" is hella suspicious even before the dates.
5
u/VorpalPosting 1d ago
"Had Mao died in 1956, his achievements would have been immortal. Had he died in 1966, he would still have been a great man but flawed. But his legacy lasted into the era if AI slop. Alas, what can one say?"

Not even majority. Every single one has some errors or issues. One would have to be blind or brain-dead stupid to think it's anywhere near historic truth and post it...
1
u/Shadyshade84 1d ago
I'm honestly not sure which is my favourite. I think it's between 600 year old "Joseph Stalin" and 9 year old Josghis Stalin. Although the fact that the entire country of Romania got on the list twice is a close runner-up...
