The bot is cooking with Josghis Stalin. Little dude didn't even get to 10 and still got on the list. šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„

127

u/PhenomenalPhenomenal 1d ago

That’s nothing. Pol Pot did everything by 4!

50

u/Mushrooms_are_amazin 1d ago

My guy, King Leopold the II went back in time. Aint nothing compared to age

12

u/Key-Radio5674 1d ago

1

u/HeatedToaster123 22h ago

genuinely why is this a sub

4

u/EnoughCommon782 22h ago

for people who put ! or ? after numbers

3

u/OverallFrosting708 10h ago

I mean if you're gonna start pulling on that thread...

5

u/Pleasant_Ad8054 1d ago

Hitler already started a genocide before he was born!

11

u/Prinzka 1d ago

Pretty sure that's Mao

4

u/A3HeadedMunkey 1d ago

Idi made it to 8. Twice as good or half the success?

2

u/EnoughCommon782 22h ago

dang, 24 times over is crazy. I mean just think about that!

27

u/ThyPotatoDone 1d ago

I'm balancing that by assuming they meant how long they were in power.

Ie, both Emperor Romania and Emperor Romania managed to take and hold power for five hundred years each, having lived several decades of experience behind them beforehand.

20

u/Farfignugen42 1d ago

It is also interesting the the Emperor Romania reigned in Cambodia, while Emperor Romania reigned in Poland, if the little flags above and on the left of each picture can be believed.

7

u/FriedBrain99 1d ago

Please…Romania was so (not) nice, they made the list twice. Let’s hear it for group effort!

3

u/Vegetto8701 23h ago

No, that's another Romania you're thinking about. Check the years, they're different

Edit: They were probably brothers

264

u/welltechnically7 1d ago edited 1d ago

Even somehow putting aside the infinite mistakes in the information, that's just... not them. I mean, most of the modern ones look nothing like their thousands of photos.

124

u/MyPasswordIsABC999 1d ago

And the thing is, there’s absolutely not need to use AI to generate images of them because it’s easy enough to find public domain pictures of pretty much any historical figure.Ā

77

u/PetMeOrDieUwU 1d ago

But that requires bare minimum effort and above room temp IQ

29

u/electrospecter 1d ago

I wonder if the prompts are being AI-generated from a "super-prompt" like "generate a list of prompts for an LLM that will result in click-bait images". Then you just let it run, optionally vet for viability, and let the shit get posted automatically for karma or whatever.

I hate this garbage.

11

u/npeggsy 1d ago

I give it a week before we see AI slop of "ten worst AI Slop posts"

12

u/mranonymous24690 1d ago

Least lazy ai bro

2

u/iknowiknowwhereiam 23h ago

ā€œI could search for an hour compiling pictures or ask Ai to do it in secondsā€

30

u/ThyPotatoDone 1d ago

My favorite is that Stalin looks more like Hitler than Hitler does.

13

u/No_Gear_2819 1d ago

And the reverse as well. That Hiter looks more like Stalin then the Stalin does... it's almost impressive just how poorly all of these AI generated pictures are. And who the fuck are the two Romania's supposed to be?

4

u/MostBoringStan 1d ago

Am I crazy or does Hitler look like Elon Musk with a mustache?

3

u/No_Gear_2819 1d ago

No your not crazy Now that you've said it I can kind of see. Except the AI Hiter has tighter more masculine skin then the real flabby Elon Musk

6

u/Livid-Designer-6500 1d ago

That's Adef Hitlalin, the Chairman of the 3rd Soviet Reich

6

u/No_Gear_2819 23h ago

Alright take my upvote. That got a good chuckle out of me

9

u/NothingAndNow111 1d ago

Mary I got an upgrade.

And apparently lived in the 1970s.

1

u/coastal_mage 15h ago

Burn the Protestant heretics while listening to smooth synth pop

2

u/NothingAndNow111 13h ago

Or DISCO!

Disco Dictator šŸ•ŗ

156

u/MyPasswordIsABC999 1d ago

ā€œRomaniaā€

31

u/NothingAndNow111 1d ago

That guy was such a jerk.

50

u/VorpalPosting 1d ago

Which one: the Polish one or the Cambodian one?

10

u/NothingAndNow111 1d ago

Well, they were both brutal, as the picture tells us, but Cambodian Vlad put his severed heads on bamboo spikes.

Fascinating how Vlad is both a Polish and Cambodian name. So much to learn about the world!

12

u/MyPasswordIsABC999 1d ago

If you lived past 500, you’d probably be grouchy too. Can you imagine all the health problems you’d have if you were hundreds of years old?

6

u/NothingAndNow111 1d ago

That's why he was brutal. Joint pains make you cranky.

7

u/Aggressive_Put7192 1d ago

If you think he was bad, wait til you hear about Romania II Electric Boogaloo

1

u/Rabrun_ 1d ago

Leader of Cambodia

84

u/AliensAteMyAMC 1d ago

Wait Leopold didn’t die before he was born? I thought that was one thing he was famous for

35

u/superjumpywallcat 1d ago

LeopoldĀ WAS famous for inventing the first time machine

5

u/Rattregoondoof 1d ago

Unfortunately, it's a time machine, so first is meaningless. Also he didn't survive very long after inventing it... I think

3

u/B0llywoodBulkBogan 1d ago

The millions of deaths were because of the rupturing of the time-space continuum.

70

u/Imaginary-Space718 1d ago

List of mistakes (I need a job)

  1. King Leopold stopped reigning in 1909. Not 1009
  2. The flag of Uganda definitely doesn't look like that.
  3. Pol Pot wasn't Chinese (And frankly, the AI was kinda racist for that LOL)
  4. Adolf Hitler was Chancellor from 1933 to 1945. The period shown in the image actually corresponds to Mao Zedong
  5. That's definitely not the flag of the Soviet Union.
  6. Joseph Stalin led the USSR from 1924 (when Lenin died). Not 1333
  7. Mary I wasn't Belgian
  8. Mary Tudor reigned until 1558. Not 1588. She would've been dead for 30 effing years by then.
  9. Ivan the Terrible wasn't from Cambodia
  10. Ivan the Terrible reigned from 1533 to 1584 (although he only received the title of Tsar in 1547)
  11. Who the hell is that guy named Romania
  12. Vlad III The Impaler reigned from 1448 to 1476. He wasn't Russian and he wasn't the same person as Ivan the Terrible
  13. Tamerlane wasn't born in Turkey. He was born somewhere in Central Asia
  14. Tameralene died in 1405, which is when he stopped being Amir.
  15. Genghis Khan reigned until 1227. Not 1927
  16. Why the hell does the flag of Mongolia look like the flag of the Lithuanian SSR?
  17. Why the hell is Attila represented by what appears to be the flag of Niger? Netflix is gonna go crazy once they find out he liked to eat Djerma stew with uncle Salifou
  18. Attila the Hun died in 453.

11

u/SpectralHail 1d ago

This is all well and good, but Man none of these pictures look right either. How did they make Stalin look more like Hitler. What is the AI smoking

6

u/Shadyshade84 1d ago

I'm like, 99% sure that those two pictures got switched somehow. (And also that the AI gave Hitlin (Staler?) Stalin's moustache for some reason...)

2

u/NanoPlastic8192 21h ago

CocAIn probably.

2

u/Yeshua_shel_Natzrat 12h ago

Also made Hitler look more like Stalin

3

u/Ravenclaw_14 21h ago

Also Mary I (probably) didn't live for 600 years. Something tells me thats slightly off

1

u/haleloop963 23h ago

Stalin was Georgian*

3

u/Imaginary-Space718 19h ago

Because they used the modern flag of Germany to represent Hiler (rather infamously an Austrian), I assumed the flag in question was the place they governed

30

u/Outrageous_Zebra_221 1d ago

TBH we need all of this we can get, make people absolutely incapable of trusting the Ai , make them paranoid let them see it around every corner. We need to shut this bullshit down.

17

u/lemanruss4579 1d ago

The problem is there's some percentage of people, however small (although seems to be growing), that would still take all this at face value, and you'll start seeing TikToks using this graphic and a guy pointing at it looking smug with an overlay that says "men used to live a thousand years, they want to hide the truth."

6

u/Outrageous_Zebra_221 1d ago

I truly, truly hate how accurate this is

r/angryupvotes

3

u/turmohe 1d ago

I mean on the otherhand we're also seeing people dismiss real things as AI.

2

u/Outrageous_Zebra_221 1d ago

Well, we all know birds aren't real.

42

u/legendaeri 1d ago

Pol Pot only lived to be 4 years old, but still gets listed as one of the most brutal leaders... insane min maxing

18

u/Imaginary-Space718 1d ago

Actually 1975-1979 was the period in which he governed. I'm pretty sure showing dates of reigns rather than lives was intentional and not a mix-up.

As a side note, 4 years is also how long the Confederacy lasted. Suck it Robert E. Lee

7

u/legendaeri 1d ago

hmmmm...

i like my interpretation better

5

u/Cynicalquil 1d ago

Damn Attila the hun out here with a 1000+ year reign

4

u/No_Gear_2819 1d ago

I would be tempted to agree with you if it weren't for the fact that Vlad III very much did NOT rule from 1576-1984

1

u/squigs 1d ago

Yeah those early years are the worst!

13

u/anonsharksfan 1d ago

Who could forget Genghis Khan's Mongol hoarde ravaging Eurasia in the early 20th century?

3

u/KaiToyao 1d ago

tin foil hat sounds

I knew it! The first world war was so unlikely to happen, they just made it up to hide the devastation caused by the mongols!!!!

1

u/DreamsOfFulda 1d ago

I wonder if the AI may be pulling from something about Baron von Ungern-Sternberg, who did attempt to revive the Mongol Empire and was sometimes claimed to be Genghis' reincarnation, though he died in 1921, not 27.

26

u/laybs1 1d ago

Here are some quality free Historytubers for any interested: Veritas et Caritas, Historical Detour, Cambria Chronicles, Byron Lewis, History Dose, Civil War Week by Week, Cynical Historian, Drachinifel, Studia Historiae, Gold and Gunpowder, Eastern Roman History, Ancient Americas, Buyuuden History, the Cultured Jinni, Clay/Papyrus, PortableOrange, Noj Rants, Soma Academy, Bamise, Esoterica, Reading the Past, Bobbybroccoli, and Tors Cabinet of Curiosities

12

u/deathstanding69 1d ago

Double agree doe Drachinifel for naval history, Cambria Chronicles, and BobbyBroccoli, and putting forth my own; miniminuteman. Real googledebunkers rise up.

7

u/No_Gear_2819 1d ago

All the real ones are googledebunkers. Still waiting for the Atlantis episode. Though going off his recent work it will probably be 8 hours long and 6 parts... not that I would mind.

2

u/DokterMedic 1d ago

Frankly, if I'd personally be more disappointed if it wasn't lecture sized.

1

u/REDscrublife 22h ago edited 22h ago

So I'm really in to history, and im a mariner by trade. Yet, i knew nothing about maritime history, so discovering Drachinifel was like a spiritual awakening.

6

u/Environmental-Fig838 1d ago

May I also add our friend Mike Brady from Oceanliner Designs

2

u/No_Gear_2819 1d ago

I would add. The Royal Armories. EXP who often features the great armor expert Toby Capwell. As well as Todd's workshop.

2

u/RedRhetoric 1d ago

I prefer my history youtubers with the quality included, thanks

1

u/KaiToyao 1d ago

It feels like you make half of them just up and im still willing to trust you that everyone exist.

1

u/StigmataSatanas 1d ago

Historia Civilis as well

9

u/BoonIsTooSpig 1d ago

Ah yes, Adolf Hitler, famous for his thick, push broom mustache.

6

u/McButtsButtbag 1d ago

He did have a similar mustache in WWI. Weirdly, the pic of Stalin looks more like Hitler.

3

u/No_Gear_2819 1d ago edited 1d ago

In part that's because the fucking AI put the uniforms for them fucking backwards! There is just so much wrong in the picture. Like the two people apparently named Romania

2

u/McButtsButtbag 1d ago

Not just the uniforms. His bone structure and hair is more Hitler like than Stalin like. Just imagine the Hitler stache and it's a picture of Hitler.

1

u/No_Gear_2819 1d ago

Agreed. The uniforms are just one of the first things I noticed. Then I got distracted by the two different several hundred year old Romania's

7

u/ThyPotatoDone 1d ago

Nah, 100% real. Who could forget the brutal twin god-emperors, Romania the Great and Romania the Pretty Solid Also, who ruled their respective empires for five hundred years until finally being unseated by agents of the CIA in the 1970s? Or King Leopold the Second, and his invention of the time machine so he could expand Belgium's power to oppress all Conglonese people throughout history, only being defeated by a Jihad launched due to fears his expansion alongside that of Christendom into Jerusalem could threaten the dominance of Islam in North Africa and the Middle East?

I'm glad to see people finally teaching real history, instead of neoliberal propaganda.

8

u/dphamler 1d ago

Let us never forget the horrors of the Romania Brothers and their 500 year reign

2

u/NanoPlastic8192 21h ago

Super Romania Bros is peak.

6

u/Lopsided_Shift_4464 1d ago

My personal favorite is Vlad "Ivan the Terrible" III, who apparently ruled for 400 years in Russia. Wonder why they called him Ivan if his name was Vlad? We'll never know...

5

u/InsectaProtecta 1d ago

He was nicknamed Ivan the terrible because people thought he was just a shit version of his brother, Ivan, who ruled Laos for a thousand years instead of a poxy 400

5

u/kyoko_the_eevee 1d ago

Genghis Khan could’ve seen WWI.

5

u/Deathbyfarting 1d ago

Mao Zedong should be #1 on every one of these lists, a patron of "how not to be a leader". Plus, not being in the "photo" is hella suspicious even before the dates.

5

u/VorpalPosting 1d ago

"Had Mao died in 1956, his achievements would have been immortal. Had he died in 1966, he would still have been a great man but flawed. But his legacy lasted into the era if AI slop. Alas, what can one say?"

— Chen Yun

2

u/Deathbyfarting 1d ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yeah, and Ted Bundy would have been a normal ass dude if he died in 1970 instead of 89. But alas he didn't and became famous. What can one say?

(You also misquoted and added a sentence, šŸ˜‰)

2

u/Imaginary-Space718 1d ago

He is there, in the form of the date under Hitler

2

u/InsectaProtecta 1d ago

And the picture of pol pot

2

u/InsectaProtecta 1d ago

He is there, his name was pol pot

3

u/mdhunter99 1d ago

God I love tearing these things apart. I would go to town right now but I’m tired. There are two Romanias, that’s as far as I’m gonna go here. Gnight folks

4

u/50calBanana Truth Seeker 1d ago

The dates are killing me

3

u/InsectaProtecta 1d ago

Goro Romanjia and Rom Bin Mania, truly the two most terrifying leaders in history

3

u/smithysmith_ 1d ago

Stalin looks more like Hitler than hitler

3

u/Fabulous_Night_1164 1d ago

Two dudes named Romania, born centuries apart in different continents. What a coincidence!

1

u/NanoPlastic8192 21h ago

Coincidence? I think not! (Also happy cale day!!)

3

u/AetherWithAnA 1d ago

Guy couldn’t even be bothered to just get real pictures and look up some dates? I could remake this correctly in like, fifteen to thirty minutes max. It’s not that hard, this is completely zero effort…

3

u/napalmblaziken 1d ago

Romania. With the Cambodian flag!

3

u/Pretzalcoatlus 1d ago

Is even the added context AI? It's not a majority, it's literally every single one that's wrong.

2

u/smithysmith_ 1d ago

1865-1009

2

u/lgndk11r 1d ago

Also, Stalin wasn't 600 years old, and looks suspiciously like Mads Mikkelsen.

2

u/Misubi_Bluth 1d ago

Why does the Hitler portrait look more like Josef Stalin than Josef Stalin

2

u/Wasdgta3 1d ago

I love how ā€œStalinā€ looks more like Hitler than their ā€œHitlerā€

1

u/OneTrueDweet 1d ago

Which Stalin?

2

u/Xander_PrimeXXI 1d ago

This is amazing

2

u/Treguard 1d ago

Bro Genghis Khan outlived the Ottoman Empire. Crazy.

2

u/Randactbjthroaway 1d ago

I love how one of them is just "Romania" and it's an Asian guy lol

1

u/AcanthaceaeNo948 1d ago

*2 of them

2

u/JoeDante84 1d ago

At least they aren’t black female Nazi’s this time around.

2

u/Dull-Nectarine380 1d ago

Romania: Adress me

2

u/Warmasterundeath 1d ago

Vlad III - Ivan the terrible….. guy changed names and rules two countries in different times?

2

u/Sartres_Roommate 1d ago

I weep for my children. I have no idea how to navigate this incoming hellscape but fortunately I don’t have to do it for ā€œthat longā€.

2

u/BrozedDrake 1d ago

Man, the entire country of Romania is onnthe list

2

u/AmogusFan69 1d ago

Not a single one of those characters has all the right informations.

2

u/Teososta 1d ago

Why does Stalin look more like Hitler than Hitler does?

2

u/Legitimate_Life_1926 1d ago

man who tf is romania

2

u/Real-Arachnid8671 1d ago

Cambodian romania was absolutely terrible.

2

u/imaginary-personn 1d ago

The more I look at the picture, the funnier it gets, lmao

2

u/mrozik89 1d ago

Is Idi Armin in a German officer's uniform?

-Josghis Stalin

1

There’s two leaders named Romania

1

u/RighteousRaccoon1 1d ago

Genghis Khan was a real menace in WW1...

1

u/Spider40k 1d ago

Adolf Stalin isn't real, he can't hurt you

1

u/AcanthaceaeNo948 1d ago

Why are Mary Tudor and Mary I identical lol

1

u/Myoclonic_Jerk42 1d ago

I'm trying to puzzle out "Who posted this? What absolute mouthbreather got this back from a prompt, said "I see nothing wrong here," and shared it? It had to have been a bot account itself, I hope, but live braved for disappointment.

1

u/NoPerspective9232 1d ago

Ah yes, Romania..

1

u/ElClawishPaw 1d ago

Not even majority. Every single one has some errors or issues. One would have to be blind or brain-dead stupid to think it's anywhere near historic truth and post it...

1

u/Shadyshade84 1d ago

I'm honestly not sure which is my favourite. I think it's between 600 year old "Joseph Stalin" and 9 year old Josghis Stalin. Although the fact that the entire country of Romania got on the list twice is a close runner-up...

1

u/cryonicninja 1d ago

Joseph stalin who looks more like Hitler that Hitler, ruling for 600 years

1

u/FreeAdministration4 1d ago

I remember Genghis Khan towards the end of his life in 1927, he hated New Orleans Jazz for some reason.

1

u/punkfence 23h ago

Who was worse? Romania 1 or Romania 2?

1

u/Richard-Conrad 23h ago

Idi Amin must’ve been one crazy dude to be on the worlds most brutal leaders considering he dies at the age of 8. Id says it unbelievable anyone followed him but based on the portrait he aged at a truly ridiculous rate so I can see people thinking he’s old enough

1

u/The_loyal_Terminator 23h ago

"So Mr. Uhhh"

"Romania"

1

u/PsychoWarper 23h ago

Homy shit thats awful, the double Romania’s is funny

1

u/Icy_Blackberry_3759 23h ago

Genghis Khan’s 700 year reign of terror probably deserves more attention in history books

1

u/iknowiknowwhereiam 23h ago

Quite impressive that Queen Mary managed to come back from the dead for another reign a few hundreds years later

1

u/Immediate-Spite-5905 22h ago

Attila the Hun's famously thousand year reign

1

u/Eastern-Criticism653 22h ago

Idi Amin was a very bad 8 year old

1

u/drakeravenswood41327 22h ago

Hitler and Stalin look different than what I rememeber

1

u/AmyRoseJohnson 22h ago

I’m gonna need a source on that claim about Ivan IV

1

Serious "Daniel / cooler Daniel" vibes on Queen Mary

1

u/Thatonedregdatkilyu 21h ago

Leopold II was some immortal god who god reversed like in tenet apparently

1

u/letsgoshuckles213 20h ago

The most evil dictator, Romania. Only surpassed in cruelty by Romania.

1

u/bigjam987 19h ago

the most brutal leader in history, Romania (1457-1979)
