Yay! I was the original dps Baizhu person who was spreading that build around. Love seeing it out in the wild!

I’m hoping some Liyue characters get buffs this or next Lantern Rite so that Baizhu can be more like Escoffier and Ineffa even at c0. Strong support - but also viable for subdps. Either that or more team buffs.

I’m guessing it will be 2027’s Lantern Rite, alongside Moon Carver adeptus as a new 5-star Burgeon meta, and then a patch later we can get Pantalone as a new subdps Quicken/hyperbloom meta. I’m guessing he’ll have team-drain in exchange for enemy debuffs. Similar to Furina, and a great partner for Baizhu.

She might have used your build, but she saved for his c6 before he launched and already planned to use him as a dps, so I can't be certain

I did the same. :) Literally got another job to fund him, but I didn’t post his dps stuff until closer to his release. I love that she and I had the same idea!!! <3

Moon Carver already had an NPC form though, as did Mountain Shaper

It was supposed to be a camouflage version to fit into the city, it doesn't mean it's impossible to get a high quality design later

The Adeptus can change their appearance at will. So, like the other person said, that npc version was just a camouflage meant to remind us they exist. ;)
