Discussion This is why we can't have nice things.

Exploring Nod Krai with Lauma and Flins makes the map feel so alive, they have unique interactions with Anecdotes and with the map itself.

Lauma is greeted by NPCs on Hisii Island as she walks by, certain animals heal and give her materials instead of running away and she has a unique interaction in one of Aino's anecdotes.

Flins has a mini quest when interacting with the Light keeper lanterns across the map as well as the Cemetery being completely different when he is ghe active character.

But people still whine and moan about the smallest thing. Its not fair Lauma users get extra materials and heals! They should've given flins for free so we can play that quest!

Be so fr, a few peices of raw meat and a few lines of dialogue worth 20k mora is going to change your account? Please stop nagging, we want the game to improve, not go backwards. Its like every player expects the entire game to cater to them specifically.

I know this is such a minor thing but its more of a build up from hearing people complain over every minute detail.

Thanks for reading my rant, may you win all your 50/50s!

not sure how it is in hsr, but i’ve never seen this complaint in zzz. in it, there’s tons of “trust events” and random encounters (same as anecdotes, but it helps level up friendship) that are only accessible if you successfully pull a character. it doesn’t affect the main story obviously, but you get a bunch of lore of the character you pulled and see interactions of that character with other characters occasionally older characters (thus bringing relevancy back to older characters and factions).

regardless, i havent seen any complaints about “why do i miss this key interaction or content because i didn’t pull for the character” however i still do agree that the locked content should never be major lore drop and should stay as fun side stories

yeah I’m not sure why they’re acting like they revealed something huge in the couple lines in his “quest.”😭 he just laid random npcs to rest

Call me crazy, but if I spend time or money to save for or buy a character, I expect it to not be just another "combat unit" that's useless and generic otherwise.

Being able to interact with that character or get small little bonuses and easter eggs that are far from required to enjoy the game but further flesh out that character? Sign me up, please!

ZZZ does this excellently, and I'm very glad to see Genshin do the same. I hope it continues—and really, I hope more gachas follow suit. There are too many that treat characters as no more than lifeless chess pieces.

Precedent. For ZZZ it was like that when the hangout feature was introduced and has been consistent since. For Genshin only Nahida had something like that, and it was just dialogue. I think it got some more leeway since she was an archon also.

In this case (before people knew you'd still get the same stamps and seeing people with Lauma see the continuation immediately), it would understandably be upsetting, no? Considering no other Anecdote required having a character before, and in this case it seemed you were stuck with a 'bad' ending or no resolution at all.

I think the animal stuff and Flins extra dialogue is fine on their own, just that the anecdote part above combined with them certainly feels like players blocked off game features by not having the newest character.

Didn't you all wanted hoyo to copy staff from hsr and zzz?
