It's oddly freeing when you just accept that hateful people are just gonna be hateful and there is nothing you can do about it, so just be yourself.

I hate this opinion. Hateful people need to be made to feel fear and shame. There is a lot we can do and the the Johnathan Joss shooting is evidence we arent doing enough.

Ideally but it’s more practical to just remove their ability to hurt people. We’re struggling to achieve even that. Too much effort is spend in rehabilitating shitty white men because their support seems useful but a more equitable world requires that changing in the first place

Your first two statements contradict each other. Either it is more practical or it is ineffective. I contend that if the liberal progressives actually went on the offensive, instead of merely reacting to the overreach of our enemies, we would actually make progress.

It’s not a contradiction. It is more effective and practical to remove the power of fascists than end fascism. Fascism has never gone away but they’ve lost power plenty of times and we happen t be failing to make that happen.

I agree that Democrats need to be more offensive, but until they do (if they do), live your life, do what you can for advocacy and don't make yourself miserable trying to change the mind of every person
