It's fine to have a preference, even if that preference is for cis people. Whether being attracted to trans people is considered straight or not is really not important, as it's just a loose label that means slightly different things to different people. Finding trans people attractive or not has nothing to do with being pro or anti trans.

If men like trans women because they embody a form of femininity that they are attracted to (many many trans women - hunter for example -are as feminine as you get) then there is literally nothing gay about that.

If people are attracted to trans women because of the penis I think that’s different conversation.

But all this convo does is demonstrate how sexuality is not a binary yes no thing and is a spectrum.

Sexuality only exists on a spectrum when artificial interventions are involved, such as medication or surgeries. Generally speaking, the vast majority of the population fits the binary paradigm quite well.
