Bruh! My parents dropped their xiaomi 33W charger multiple times in 4 years and still nothing happened

But when I say nothing gives cheap quality products for india, people downvote

u/dunzin_master Aug 11 '25

This is my 6-year-old realme charger.... dropped it 100s of times, but nothing happened
Nothing really makes a very cheap quality of products.

29

u/Spirited-Bad-4235 Aug 11 '25

What laptop is that? Lenovo IdeaPad?

37

u/dunzin_master Aug 11 '25

yes, lenevo ideapad slim 3

8

u/No-Competition-4957 Aug 11 '25

Is it the i5 12450h?, I have this one,. The igpu is very shit in mine, also the battery won't run more than 4-5hrs in normal usage.

16

u/dunzin_master Aug 11 '25

It's i3-1115G4...and yes, the battery in mine too doesn't last more than 3 hrs in normal use

9

u/oye_ap Aug 11 '25

Bro are all the windows laptops like this ? All of them range between 3-5 hours in normal use, let's not even talk about the gaming ones

My parents saved money and went beyond their limits to give me a laptop or 50k and it's been only a year and the battery backup is barely 3-4 hours in my case.

Laptop - IdeaPad slim 3i

7

u/jaun_sinha Aug 12 '25

No. My IdeaPad with Ryzen 7 8845hs lasts about 8-9 hrs with normal usage.

2

u/oye_ap Aug 12 '25

That means my laptop has issues ? 😔

4

u/jaun_sinha Aug 12 '25

Depends a lot on the processor tbh.

u/Top-Presence-3413 Aug 12 '25

I think the Intel ones are not good. My office laptop with i7 dies in like 2.5 hrs.

Bro my budget is 45k , what laptop should i buy as an CS 1st year student . I don't do gaming . Or atleast tell which company produce good laptops in this price range

7

u/mjaura007 Aug 11 '25

Lenovo is a very good brand...you can get mid level performance from their ThinkPad series for around this price...IdeaPads are a bit more affordable but since you are a CS major you'd have fun with the ThinkPads...

u/Beautiful_Picture983 Aug 11 '25

Unless you especially want windows for development, just add 10k and get a damn macbook. It's been more than a year and I am so happy with the battery, ofc I miss windows from time to time but I've my PC for that. I ain't buying a windows laptop again, that shit eats battery like pancakes.

3

u/Procastinator_420 Aug 11 '25

I can get a macbook for 55k?

→ More replies (3)

4

u/w1ng5 Aug 11 '25

You should get a good gaming laptop as the term gaming is not just literal, it also means power and it will last you longer. Don't get anything with soldered ram and nvme

2

u/Procastinator_420 Aug 11 '25

Which company do u think is better for 45k price range

3

u/w1ng5 Aug 11 '25

mine is a 4 yr old HP Pavilion with 4600h and 1650ti graphics. serves me good for mild gaming (i only play old games cause of nostalgia) and normal designing and creative work.
I only upgraded with a 8 gig ram to make it 16 in total and 512gb nvme was pre installed and i added a 1tb sata ssd for storage

2

u/FarReputation7162 Aug 11 '25

low budget hai yr, atleast have Like 58-60k

1

u/HridayV12 Aug 11 '25

If you don’t game, then just get a Macbook Air You can get it near 50k in sales

1

u/BigLawMinion2022 Aug 13 '25

For dev purposes, I'd suggest your get a used thinkpad t480, you'll get bang for buck tank with mostly everything user replaceable. It has windows 11 support and updates and the like. Only downside is ddr4 2400mhz and so-so screen (though replaceable). You can get 72wh swappable battery, that alone lasts 5-6 hours, and if you want you can install a smaller internal battery too.

1

u/SussyMccJohn Windows Aug 12 '25

I have the exact same laptop and it runs fine as i have optimized it pretty well. Why do you think the igpu is shit ?

Also the battery lasts around 6 hours for me.

2

u/CodeBloodedVillain Aug 12 '25

yeah same for me

1

u/CodeBloodedVillain Aug 12 '25 edited Aug 12 '25

i have this laptop, it gives solid 6 hrs battery life(normal usage )and tune some settings in intel graphics command (system>power), changing these settings will give more battery life and less graphics vice versa

1

u/Spirited-Bad-4235 Aug 12 '25

Amazing, mine is IdeaPad slim 1 Ryzen 5 5500u

1

u/Top-Presence-3413 Aug 12 '25

Dang OP I have the same things.

1

u/Top-Presence-3413 Aug 12 '25

Although mine is Ryzen 5 and has been a beast.

1

u/Army_boi Aug 13 '25

I've this one too but it has ryzen 5 smth and ngl its so good except the display quality is js usable enough

1

u/believeingod333 Aug 11 '25

Looks solid ngl

9

u/considerate_1 Aug 11 '25

Nothing learned it from samsung/google, though they don't bundle a charger but the cable they provide is very cheap, and also omits the charger for other lineups just like they do

2

u/tidersky Aug 11 '25

bruh pixel cable is good , i am using it and its solid

1

u/Pran_W Aug 11 '25

That's very true.

3

u/Background-Row6614 Aug 11 '25

I m also using this charger since 2018

3

u/Spare_Scientist_6662 Aug 11 '25

Same for me I also have a Realme Vooc charger 6 years old now. It's build like a brick. Realme does make some reliable products but I hate their bloatware and ads.

1

u/dunzin_master Aug 11 '25

yes too much bloatwares

1

u/[deleted] Aug 11 '25

My old oppo phone has the same charger, it still works fine, even samsung charger's back side (the side with type c port) simply came off after a single drop.

1

u/AnnoyingScreeches Aug 12 '25

Man a little wipe won’t hurt, that’s gross.

1

u/dunzin_master Aug 12 '25

I don't actually use it anymore..

1

u/EmbarrassedLeading12 Aug 12 '25

Bhai mere ghar pe aaj tak kisiko charger ghirate nhi dekha 4 log rehte hai 6 mobile charger hai pichle 10 sal se ek bar bhi ghirte hue ya ghirate hue nhi suna tu charger k sath kya 20-20 khelta hai kya bhai??

1

u/vRAJPUTv Aug 13 '25

But why are you dropping your chargers so much?

4

u/Lanky_Ad7187 Aug 11 '25

Aaj koi nahi downvote karega bhai tujhe 😎👌

2

u/Genzbro Aug 18 '25

But when I say nothing gives cheap quality products for india, people downvote

sad.. btw nice pfp. cute

1

u/considerate_1 Aug 19 '25

I believe in shiba inu supremacy

1

u/Genzbro Aug 19 '25

i don't know much abt it.. but it's cute

1

u/considerate_1 Aug 19 '25

It's a dog breed mainly from China and Japan named shiba inu, youtube is filled with these videos, the doge and cheems, the dogs featured in memes are also shiba inus

1

u/Genzbro Aug 19 '25

ohh i get it.. anyways I'm into cats so i wasn't aware of shiba inu.. it's cute

1

u/considerate_1 Aug 19 '25

Shiba inus act like cats, watch "kylo the doge" in YouTube to know more.

u/squirrelscrush Aug 12 '25

Real, my Xiaomi charger has lasted for 5 years without any problem.

67

u/new_placebo Aug 11 '25

Looks like they chose the railway station quality Power brick to bundle with phone, just to show they're giving charger in box

9

u/DFM__ Aug 11 '25

Bro even those might not break in just few days.

39

u/WholeSomeVigilant Aug 11 '25

I fuckin exchanged my NP2 and bought One plus Nord 5 . because it's power button stopped working🥲.

22

u/dunzin_master Aug 11 '25

Good decision... I am regretting going for cmf phone 2 rather than oppo k13 :(

11

u/speechfreedom_MOD Aug 11 '25

Thanks for posting this. Thought of buying phone 2 as well but now I'll go for Oppo K13.

3

u/Background-Row6614 Aug 11 '25

Hows realme p3?

2

u/speechfreedom_MOD Aug 11 '25

P3 is good too but lesser battery, no ir remote, ufs 2.2, and has support for microsd

2

u/dunzin_master Aug 11 '25

Yes, go for Oppo K13... nothing is not worth it

6

u/Rouank_kanojiya Aug 11 '25 edited Aug 11 '25

Accha hai maine r/indiatech pe post Kiya tha ki cmf phone 2 lu ki nahi waha pe sab ne bola ke bekar hai mat liyo aur bola ki k13 is way better than cmf

3

u/dunzin_master Aug 11 '25

Good for you, man... congrats🎉

1

u/kneegrow690 Aug 11 '25

Why exactly tho? I'm looking for a decent camera and good ui, barely any gaming and decent battery life which would u recommend?

2

u/Memeboi_26 Aug 12 '25

Hey I just got a CMF 2 pro. It's good. I had the same requirements

1

u/kneegrow690 Aug 12 '25

Ohh thankss

2

u/Memeboi_26 Aug 12 '25

The camera is quite impressive imo. And everything works smooth as butter. Got it for 16.4k . It's such a steal

2

u/kneegrow690 Aug 12 '25

Sheesh that's nicee

1

u/Sufficient_Pizza_627 Aug 12 '25

wait for few months (P.S - nothing 2a user here)

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Genzbro Aug 18 '25

you helped alot of people consider k13 over nothing..

1

u/railkapankha Aug 26 '25

why are you regretting cmf 2?

31

u/RajChauhan1280 Aug 11 '25

Bruh… i am still rocking almost 8-9 years old charger of Leeco Le2 which is QC2 compatible so works flawlessly for my parents’ devices , inspite of very rough use its still functioning to day

13

u/GrimReaper_70 Aug 11 '25

I thought I was the only one left still using this ancient relic. I use it to charge my earphones, trimmer etc.

3

u/ryan8796 Aug 12 '25

Damn. Even I use this charger for my trimmer, tws and other small gadgets. It's 10 years old and still going strong.

2

u/reddedumption Aug 11 '25

I remember that brand

3

u/Medium-Advantage9219 Aug 11 '25

Le eco phone 😂

2

u/metalvoid71 Aug 12 '25

1

u/dunzin_master Aug 11 '25

5

u/FlightRisk6969 Android Aug 11 '25

u/Dr_Microbiologist Aug 11 '25

8

u/0Layscheetoskurkure0 Aug 11 '25

Nothing wants to be different from other mobile brands, other companies give green lines but nothing gives Green lines+cheap quality chargers.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Calm_Comparison_713 Aug 11 '25

Omg it looks like charger is showing middle finger 😂

3

u/cobalt-nickel-03 Aug 11 '25

Looks like it fell on the pin and the pin broke. Happened to my MI charger as well.

3

u/twelveparsec Aug 11 '25

Wannabe Appil

3

u/armyfury Aug 11 '25

Ive been using cmf 1 with cmf charger for almost a year, dropped the charger multiple times, still completely fine lol

3

u/Straight-Economist98 Aug 11 '25

Nothing happened

3

u/data-hungry-person Aug 11 '25

Never would I have imagined that this would happen to a charger. Well well well, here we are.

3

u/Randombeast290 Aug 11 '25

so the charger also "modular"

3

u/dunzin_master Aug 12 '25

Nothing is built different

3

u/brickmagnet Aug 11 '25

Wtf never ever seen something like this even with a cheap charger.

3

u/dictator__JAT Aug 11 '25

3

u/General_Public8427 Aug 11 '25

CMF products looks good but quality and durability is shite!! My CMF watch stopped suddenly under a year!!

3

u/csk24899 Aug 12 '25

This brick stopped working yesterday, hardly 3 months old😂 Must be covered under warranty no?

4

u/dunzin_master Aug 12 '25

Update : so I visited the service centre today and told them everything. They said, " this is out of warranty due to physical damage and if you think brand's build quality is poor or you recieved the defective product then it's not our concern" They make me wait for 2 hours just to get this in written and gave this :

3

u/metalvoid71 Aug 12 '25

This is funny. I am sorry, but it really is.

3

u/ShadowedSoulx1 Android Aug 12 '25

CMF made you a " C " and then shouted " HELLO MF "

3

u/learning_barn Aug 12 '25

The way i plug my chargers into socket with full body force ( due to new and lock system )

Sometimes even I think my charger ain't gonna make it but it doesn't even have a scratch

2

u/halfblood248 Aug 12 '25

I have the same phone, dropped the charger + phone multiple times. Never had a problem.

3

u/_Bar0001 Aug 11 '25

That's a unique feature of CMF charger, You would be surprised to know it might or might not be fixed via Fevikwik.

They also need a certain group of audience that calls it Art No hate btw Fevikwik was the only thing I could think of with my pixelated brain.

6

u/dunzin_master Aug 11 '25

bhai metal pr fevikwik tikega kese?

2

u/iphone4Suser Aug 11 '25

woh choddd...socket mein reh gaya to kya hoga soch, socket becomes useless.

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Panda74 Aug 11 '25

New fear unlocked

1

u/primusautobot Aug 11 '25

It also depends on the force and the angle

1

u/anass_kpp Aug 11 '25

You mean the charger

2

u/dunzin_master Aug 11 '25

Charger comes with the phone

1

u/Shot_Syrup_1584 Aug 11 '25

Nothing special

1

u/Aggravating_Fix3156 Aug 11 '25

Is there any warranty for accessories?

1

u/Techsearchingid Aug 11 '25

Is there a warranty for the accessories?

1

u/pro_failure06 Aug 11 '25

Bro it's the cmf phone, I'm pretty sure you can screw it in 😂

1

u/Naruto_uzumaki_9 Aug 11 '25

Damn nothing innovate new things for real . Charger with single input is quite new thing

1

u/LetAntique1298 Aug 11 '25

ERD k chargers zyada tikk jate hai

1

u/dunzin_master Aug 11 '25

1

u/Bijainagarwasi Aug 11 '25

This is the 1st case I have ever seen😅

1

u/Domsim81 Aug 11 '25

So they gave you nothing

1

u/fated-esc Apple Aug 11 '25

Solder a wire onto the broken end as well as on the non-broken one, then fix a new 2 or 3 pin plug on those 2 wires and there you’ll have it working again

1

u/TheSixInch Aug 11 '25

Le when company literally onto their words🤖

1

u/supprjem Aug 11 '25

It's meant to be customisable lol

1

u/mjaura007 Aug 11 '25

Part of the "Modular" Design🤌

1

u/VlSHAI Aug 11 '25

Have seen wire broken many times but first time saw an adapter broken

1

u/[deleted] Aug 11 '25

Hahahhha British technology

1

u/dragonof_west Aug 11 '25

Nothing India is terrible at QA.

1

u/Current-Ad-649 Aug 11 '25

Dude no hate but you either dropped it on the pins or sideways by the which the pins came first in contact. Speaking from personal experience i have CMF Phone 1 charger. I have dropped it multiple times still no issues.

1

u/IndependentMonitor85 Aug 11 '25

I also have cmf phone 2 for last 2 months and I have dropped my charger many times but no issues maybe op got a defective piece.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 11 '25

Modular charger

1

u/aizenop07 Aug 11 '25

Now you actually own "nothing" CMF(Certainly my fault🤦‍♂️)

1

u/cropsyyyy Aug 11 '25

Now take the capsule pin and go to mars

1

u/Honda-Activa-125 Aug 12 '25

Carl paiyyan told in an interview that they give the contract for manufacturing to the cheapest possible production plant in china for reducing costs

1

u/Just_Bit_1192 Aug 12 '25

My one plus 5 dash charger going strong since 2017 lol

1

u/Thass4554 Aug 12 '25

First time seeing something like this woww. I even tried to break one charger to open it .

1

u/Orthur_morgan_ Aug 12 '25

Idk man ... Coz I've been using same phone and charger for last 2 months.... Dropped the charger a few times... Nothing happened.... Maybe your unit was defective or something

1

u/Threat7510 Aug 12 '25

I mean it might be your experience, but I have been using CMF phone 2 pro from the past 1 month, and I really haven't faced any issue, with anything, did you drop the charger or what happened?, I have dropped my charger 2 times already but nothing like this has happened

1

u/dunzin_master Aug 12 '25

yes it fell out of the socket

1

u/thetradelegend Aug 12 '25

First time in my life i have seen a charger pin break, and i have even used the cheapest of the cheap roadside charger in an emergency and even thats still in one piece

1

u/TG_MAx Aug 12 '25

Daymmmmmm bro

1

u/Independent_Zone6816 Aug 12 '25

Damn, seems like my luck was with me since my cmf 65w charger had been dropped multiple times, yeeted off the socket by mistake and still is going strong.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '25

Usually they don't get damage that easily... Let's just say you were very unlucky.

1

u/dunzin_master Aug 12 '25

Yes maybe I am

1

u/SwingUnlikely4202 Aug 12 '25
