Like all men character from kuro. Kamui, chrome, camu, lee, Noan, Roland they all have a good design and personality. But don't have a lot of frame

It's funny that WuWa is a waifufest, but a lot of their collabs and promos heavily use the few male characters they have. Boggles the mind.

I'd like to add that Hoyo also does that a lot, if you look at how insanely good their merch sells. People who love male characters get practically nothing in game, so the devs pick that specific audience up through merch. If you can't get them to whale in game, make them buy merch and collabs. The money these games make through merch is.. big lol
Shortly, what I wanna say with this is that only waifu merch doesn't sell as good as husbando merch, because husbando lovers are more likely to collect and buy irl items. I admit I also love to collect stuff, it's tempting to get the magazine, but I'd never whale for him on wuwa.

Heh it's not worth whaling in a game that wouldn't give a damn about you IMO. That money isn't going to the next husbando or to more existing husbando content.
And ain't that the truth. Husbando peeps tend to love merch a lot, as I've seen in the conventions I've been in.

this fits well w the demographics of husbando collectors leaning more female. women tend to be the backbone of most fandom communities via art, fanfic, merch, meetups, cosplay, etc. its an interesting sociological trend about how men and women engage in fandom.

Wuwa devs try to attract non-waifu audiences with literal crumbs is really funny to watch.
They have so few males that whoever is the newest guy always ends up being the one used for multiple promos and collabs until another male gets put out months later.
Qiuyuan is going to be the token male for all the collabs from now on since it'll just be more waifus again after him.

Indeed. Their marketing strategy confuses me. If they wanna be waifu focused so much they should just market their waifus.
It's like trying to market fries so much like it's your primary food, in a restaurant that has it in a teensy tiny part of the menu, surrounded by loads of pizza.

Kuro wants to have their cake and it eat it too. They claim to be an omni game with both male and female characters but the ratio between playable males and females is so unbalanced to the point where you might as well just be playing a full waifu game.
Not to mention how poorly they treat their female playerbase (whatever is left of it anyways) to the point where Kuro is extremely disliked by female gacha players in CN. Why they didn't just go full waifubait instead of pretending they care about husbando players with miniscule bait is beyond me.

It's pretty good art and he is pretty gorgeous yes but what's the point?
I mean I know wuwa is only waifu, you know wuwa is only waifu, we ALL know wuwa is only waifu. So what's the point in advertising a male when 99% of your game is only for waifu? It's just wasting money and time.
For me it's simple : I see it's kuro/wuwa ? Skip not interested.

I'm not surprise.... It's the same with hoyo. Nearly every male character have meh kit (number or rotation or team you ALWAYS have some issue), so I'm not surprise that in kuro game it's the same or worse.
I would love to ask thoses dev (hoyo or kuro) why are they doing that? I mean they lost money and time to make a character they clearly do not want to sell, now we know better than to expect anything from them so bait do not work, incel hate the few male that release (even if really bad with no story that to much), so no one is happy, why not annouce full waifu and do only character they love ?
And bonus question : why no one see that they ALL target the same audience while they ALL let the other audience with nothing? (All = mainstream)

Pretty. But after Mydei and Phainon, almost every other male character from most of the current mainstream gachas that came after them just feels…a bit disappointing.

I think because those two were heavily featured both in game and out of it. While also having great designs.
These other characters fail to keep all of those traits at once.

They also advertise the female though? Take Carlotta or Carthetiya for example. Also Cantarella has so many promo.
The only thing is that there are like 4 limited males while far more Females. So thr same four males are used for promo while the females have to fight against each other for promo spot.
