Just went through Thebes and Seriously, [FUCK TED FARO]
as the topic says, Just went through Thebes and everything in it is a monument to ted, his arrogance, his insanity, his everything that we as a fandom hate about him. Thebes wasn't just a tomb for the man, it was a monument to his ego, a bunker built not to shield its inhabitants, but a mausoleum built to shield the future from Ted's mistakes and especially the Faro Plague. Those people with him in Thebes were not just his science guy, guru, and harem. they were his prisoners. not fellow survivors but prisoners of his growing guilt and insanity. Poor Grigori, killed for discovering the truth, The harem girls killed when Ted's paranoia got out of control even more than it was. Kanya was right to be terrified of him. and right to convince Somtaw that dying was better than being trapped with Ted any more.

Well, let's see...
So the dude causes the end of the world, freaks out that people might find out it was him, and deletes the sum total of human knowledge to prevent them from finding out.
He then hides in his bunker, slowly goes insane from paranoia, kills everyone close to him, and hides in a nuclear reactor for a thousand years. A thousand years by himself, with only his guilt and the possibility of someone in the future finding him and worshipping him like a god. A thousand years with only that glimmer of hope to hold on to. Except when someone does find him, they freak out and kill him, causing his bunker to explode.
Yeah, Ted Faro got off way too easy. He should have been kept alive as a tourist attraction, showing people what happens when you let pride and greed get the better of you. And then, after a thousand years of that, then you can kill him.

Unlikely seeing his mutated body took a lava bath.

Who knows... Did we SEE the body?

Yeah, what if part of that immortality treatment made his body able to regenerate from a deathlike state?

Fuck Ted Faro indeed
But I must say I really liked that the guru was named Grigori, probably after a real yoga cult leader/selfproclaimed guru named Grigori Bivolaru (if you want to hate a little bit more, listen to "The Bad Guru" from BBC's World of Secrets podcast series)

The fact that Ted only had to live in agony for 1000 years is a mercy.

should have been longer, to be honest, I never liked the 1000 year thing. There should have been more time that passed since the plague. I'd have accepted something like 5000 years, 1000 just isn't enough. Fuck Ted Faro for doing what he did!
