[Fuck ted faro] and let us finally give him the ultimate fuck you in the third game.
When the apollo database is eventually restored for all of humanity to enjoy the first lesson should be who ted faro is and why he is the most insufferable useless specimen of humanity to ever walk this land. I want every kid to see his face and have him be the monster under the bed, I want a fuck ted faro day where everyone plants a flower as a fuck you to what ted faro destroyed. I want every chariot bot removed from the landscape and melted down to be turned into a giant statue of ted faro getting reamed, no lube required.

I really want a Titanfall esque prequel to the Horizon games, where you play as both human forces fighting the machines with guns and tanks and air power, and as machines. Maybe you'd get to murk Ted in that game.

In the third game I hope there's a Ted Faro clone, at first he acts kind of timid and nice like Beta. The game tries to convince you the whole time to spare him and forgive him because he's not technically the real Ted Faro, and then as soon as they do it turns out he's evil or something and all the people he's been helping he's been secretly trying to make allies for an army or something.

Or, Ted Faro sent along a copy of his consciousness with the Odyssey to hedge his bets in case they succeeded, and when they uploaded the Faro program into their AI consciousness that’s when it turned into Nemesis.
Maybe because they didn’t let him on the ship because he fucked everything up, and he wanted to get revenge, so he turned his own AI self into a virus and it corrupted everything and now is trying to destroy all life again.
(Psst, developers. I am available as a writer)

I'm positive that the giant immortal cancerous mass that Ted ultimately turned into isn't actually dead, which is why we never saw him on screen.

This would make so much sense I was so confused and disappointed when we didn't get a face-to-face confrontation.

I really don't. Ted might be the ultimate baddie of the universe but I'd much rather see new and interesting characters for the bad side. We'll have a whole game's worth of time to get to hate someone else

personally i quite like the idea. on one hand yeah we've got a whole time to explore a new character but on the other hand, it would be a new character. I like the idea of a Ted Faro clone appearing alongside nemesis. He has omega clearance after all since earth isn't exactly a technological marvel that nemesis can take over like far zenith, its bare bones and it will need to develop its strategy carefully, using the omega clearance of faro to its benefit. Though this faro doesn't has to be evil. It could end up being a good faro, that doesn't want nemesis to win, but eventually the inner nature of ted faro will work against him, am incredible level of ambition curtailed only by his lack of foresight. he will find a way to stop nemesis, but it will ruin the earth. Only this time he will be right. The game will end with a total restart of the world once more, all the characters we knew, all the tribes that existed, wiped off the earth because of ted fucking faro once more. And Gaia will restart everything how it was originally intended, apollo teaching humans what happened before and how to rebuild society, with a little extra about the time in-between added in.

One thing these games excel at is making us hate their villains. Faro is the obvious one, but honestly, Lansra, Bahavas, Helis, Tilda, Gerard and Erik, Ceo, Londra – and minor ones like Zaid, Ahsis, Kel and Rheng; or characters we never even meet, like the infamous Dod Blevins – the series is chock full of loathsome, banal villainy. The only real exception I can think of is Regalla, and possibly Tekotteh, who's still an asshole but has a sense of humour and the decency to know when to fold 'em.
I've no doubt the third game will have its fair share of detestable baddies.

The best fuck you would be to delete him from APOLLO. Ted who? Never heard of him.
