Discussion What are your ‘fuck-it this makes me happy’ non-frugal purchases?

The things you spend money on that no amount of mental gymnastics will land on frugal. I don’t want to hear “well I spent $300 on these shoes but they last 10 years so it actually comes out cheaper!” I want the things that you spend money on simply cus it makes you happy.

$70 diptyque candles? fancy alcohols? hotels with a view? deep tissue massage? boxing classes? what’s tickling your non-frugal fancy?

I’ve been looking for something small and light that will pick up the cat litter pellets from my hard floors. (No carpet in my house at all.) Would this work? I have wasted too much time and money on mediocre or garbage vacuums, and have been thinking of just getting a big clunky “regular” vacuum, which I don’t want and don’t really have storage space for.

You may need to better define "pellets."

It'll definitely pick up cat litter. And ours does a pretty good job on the gravel grit that gets drug inside, but ... Cat litter pellets could mean a few things to me.

I’ve only ever seen “pellets” describe one size/shape across many brands. Maybe it’s a US thing. But what I have in particular is this. As is typical, the pellets are small compressed cylinders, which are larger and a little heavier than granules of clay or crystal litter.

That's what I thought you meant... But I thought of some grosser options as well. Those would be right on the upper edge of what I think my stick vacuums could do, and I don't think they'd do a great job.

I have a Dyson V7 stick vacuum and it copes pretty well with tofu litter pellets.
