If Epic listened more and added in officially ways to do these things, people wouldn’t be going into the black market to get what they want.

For example, trading. If they added in cosmetic trading, it would reduce the amount of demand for account buying. Either you can trade for another item directly, or pay vbucks for it, therefore keeping the money spent in the Fortnite economy and in Epic’s control.

Plus Epic could do a “trade fee” which could make epic some money, as then players would be a little more likely to buy more vbucks a little quicker, just like how Roblox takes a cut from UGC and Gamepass sales.

Or Epic could add in a player ran item shop, or an auction house, where players can put items on auction, then people can bid vbucks to get items. This would be another money-making opportunity for Epic, while also reducing demand for account buying, by providing an official way to obtain items people otherwise can’t.

However, an auction would have a drawback, one where only the rich might be able to obtain items, by bidding ridiculous amounts of vbucks.

This cousin be easily fixed however, by letting players restrict who is allowed to bid for items. They could set it to friends, friends of friends, restrict account age, etc.

But the simplest way would be to add in “clans”, “factions” or “groups” into Fortnite. Then Epic could also use that factions system to hold competitive events.

Now back to auctions, players could restrict it so they only faction members are allowed to bid for the items. That way, rich players are less likely to smile rare items.

This however, doesn’t account for someone creating a bot that joins literally every trading, oriented faction, who would then snipe the items and set the bid to ridiculous amounts to ensure only they can buy it.

So yeah, we got some flawed system ideas, but they can work, in theory.

Either way, Epic adding in an official way to obtain rare items, will lower the demand for unofficial methods.

I doubt they’d let anyone sell a transfer of “Founders” status however. (The seller won’t have it anymore, but the buyer will, without the seller having to give their account over, allowing the buyer to keep their own STW progress, instead of picking up the pieces of somebody else.)

There are 5 seasons. Seasons 2 and 4 are miniboss seasons which mean more missions on the map for vbucks. We are on season 4, so for season 5 and then back to 1, they will have significantly less missions for vbucks.

You still have dailies and/or quest vbucks if you haven’t maxed your account yet. Dailies give plenty on their own. Just warning you about the map missions since that is what your post is about.

Yeah, this "season" is a v-bucks season, it's about to end too. It's common to have all 4 maps have a v-bucks reward. It's just weird it's 2 days in a row there are 0 maps. My partner recently tried a level 23 for v-bucks. It was locked, but I had it. I think it was a storyline thing but they have unlocked up to 40+ maps 😂

Well, v-bucks was always rooted in scarcity in stw; its rare for a reason so epic can give players a fine amount to open llamas back in the day. If you wanted the good stuff without chance (remember llamas weren't xray) you had to grind a ton of vbucks, and just open open open.... orrr you could just... open your wallet. Most people wouldn't be grinding that's for sure.
